Susan is just in her living room watching tv. It's been boring all day and she wants to go do something. But she knows if she goes out and see someone, she's gonna get asked, "So HoWs YoUrs FaTHeRs??" So she decides to stay home. She wanted to stay away from everyone so she wouldn't be bothered by her "dumb" choice.
Susan eventually decides to out for dinner with Hannah. She'll ask Hannah about her option on her own choice.
~~At dinner~~
H- "So, still not going to your dads?
S- "Yea, but everyone mad at ME for not going."
H- "I can see why, you want to build a relationship with his dad, but you not going."
S- "Yea.. Can we change the topic? I don't spend this nice dinner talking about my dad"
H- "Sure, have you heard about the drug lord that's distributing drugs all around the city? I mean a lot of drugs, millions of dollars worth to small drug dealers."
S- "Yea I read an article last night that's absolutely crazy, I heard that he almost got caught twice; but he quote un-quote "escaped the cops butter hands.""
H- "The kind of people in this world sickens me. Drugs really? But it's just crazy how he has hasn't gotten caught in 24 years. Stupid crazy."
S- "I know they only have one picture of him, it's him entering the driver seat of a gas filled semi. Three hours later the bitch blew up."
(Susan shakes her head and takes a bite of her salad)

When Susan arrives home she gets in more comfy clothes and decides to look more up on the drug lord. 24 years of drug dealing and not caught once. Which insights her, but she doesn't know how he been drug dealing helps.
She spends nights on nights wondering how all this evidence connects, eventually she connects the dots except one: his origins.
It's been a few months, six months to be exact, six months since she hasn't seen her father, six months of mom harassing me, three months of investigating this so called drug lord.
