Am I really still in love with him...
Its been 3 years now, your feelings for Kozume still lingered within your heart, slowly knawing at you.
"Hey! Earth to y/n! Are you there? Hello?!"
You let out a deep breath and reached your hand up to rub your temple.
"My bad, when did you get here, Izumi?"
Izumi huffed out a tired sigh. "Man, don't tell me you're still thinking about that Kenma dude, it's so obvious! You're totally in love."
You blinked a few times and even though your reaction was slower then a snail the red spreading across your face was a total giveaway. "y/n your face is red."
Izumi propped her hand on her hips, "come on! Merlins waiting for us, he said he saved us a spot so hurry up and get your head out of the clouds, hasn't it been like 3 years since you last saw that Kenma dude he must have forgotten about you by now. I mean, I'm not trying be rude or anything but there's no point in thinking about him it'll only hurt you more."
You stared up at her, then beamed, "you're right, let's go." Truthfully, what she said sort of hurt you. There really is no point thinking about him but could you really just stop? Was it really that simple to forget him just like that?
After you left your old highschool you blocked Kozume and deleted his phone number from your contacts. Afterwards you tried to forget him, tried to erase him from your mind, in other words...Distract yourself...
Quite melodramatic if I do say so myself...

Deep in thought, you picked up your fork and started playing around with your spaghetti. As you turned to look at the person next to you they started shouting curses, "This is literally so gross! Why did they have to change the lunch ladies at our school. Ughh! I hate this" Izumi was as dramatic as ever, her extroverted persona always seemed to annoy other people and even though you were compete opposites you actually really enjoyed her loud and charismatic personality.
Merlin was sort of like the dad in your group he was always telling people to be quiet and reminding you and Izumi to stop slacking off. But still, you all enjoyed his company very much even though he was super bossy sometimes.
