The orange summer sun rose above the great stone walls of Aland waking up all of the homeless scattered across the city , all of them except one for he had been waiting for this day. He had been collecting rupees he had found for a month at this point and was on his way to the bakery to ensure that he was first in the line. Running faster than he ever had before dodging and weaving past every body he saw until he got the whiff of fresh bread that embraced him like a warm hug . Quickly he dashed around the corner with a "Morning Mr Barber". shocked Mr Barber jolted backwards almost tripping over , only to turn around and instantly recognising the boy from his sickly white skin to his skeletal figure and dirty rags.

"Why hello my boy what are you doing back here so early" The old man commented embracing the boy. "oh I do mean no trouble I simply ran out of the bread I purchased last month" replied the boy as he tried to regain his breath from his sprint there "what do you mean 'trouble' don't be ridiculous it's a pleasure to have you around" Mr Barber said assuring the boy "but one thing I do ponder is why even with your lack of food you still give it away. I mean I understand showing some compassion now and again but you can surely see where I'm coming from right?"                      "I guess , but if I don't feed the homeless who will?" he responded with a stern look on his face. The baker looked back a him with a light hearted grin "so will it be the usual"                                 "yes please if its not to much of a hassle" said the boy trying his very hardest to not come off as rude                                                                                                                                                                                              "I guess it's not just don't waste it all that fast" spoke Mr Barber as he reached for the bread the boy ordered "and may I repeat myself  try not to waste it all to fast!"                                                                                                      "you have my word" he chirped as he walked out the bakery door.

Almost automatically he took a turn which was the opposite direction he had been sleeping at until he reached a hole under a bridge. This place gave of a gloomy presence. It was cold , slimy and reeked of rotting fish. The boy nocked three times on the crumbling stone pillars that held up the bridge and out crawled three little children "N" they all screamed out in excitement as they leaped into his open arms "we missed you so much we've been so hungry recently" . N kneeled down to be at eye level with them and in a soft tone he spoke "I have missed you all greatly as well and I have food". The children were bursting with excitement but still they waited patiently for their share of the bread. But even after having been given their rations the children were still disheartened because deep down they knew as well as N did that this moment of joy and celebration could not last. El the smallest of the the began to speak "how long will you be gone for this time". N looked down at the three with eyes full of sorrow "I do not know but I promise when the king returns we will be together again". He embraced the three before going on his way. But he did not make it far when suddenly he felt a large hand place itself on his shoulder. Quickly without a seconds thought he curled his hand into a fist and struck the mystery person with a right hook to the face before turning around to realise who he had attacked and his face turned as red as a tomato with pure embarrassment. "I'm very sorry I didn't know it was you please forgive me" he said rather quickly as he was still very flustered.
