My life is usual. My name is Aoushi Kimura, and I will be 15 tomorrow. My birthday falls on Valentine's Day, and this year is the first one I'll spend with my beloved, Shinohara. Our first acquaintance happened coincidentally on his birthday, which is even more fortuitous, also a holiday. He was born on Shōwa Day, April 29th. We first saw each other during Shōwa's parade, and even if we had just met, we both knew it was love at first sight. Our destiny was sealed the day our lips touched, a day I will never forget; February 11th, 1999. Ereyesterday. We had been together for numerous months before daring to cross that precarious line that would decide if joined our future would. He was the shelter to cover me in uncertain times, in days when life gave me nothing but freezing rain. And that soft, lovely kiss was the moment to make my quasi-flawless reality truly perfect.
We had been planning our big day for weeks, throwing ideas of who would do what, where, when, and how. All questions for what answers would only be love from now on. I could only see the bright side of even the darkest faces of hell, only hear melody even from cacophony, only feel ecstatic even from the most tormenting events. I only needed him.
Everything was going to be perfect. We would pick him up where he lived, we would eat dinner with my family, go to the movie theater, go bowling, and end the night having a party with all of our friends at my place.
Everything was going to be perfect. It would have been. That's what I thought.
But the accident occurred. And then, everything collapsed.
