Chaos and Bliss

Through the serene and quiet Cloud Recesses, echoes of laughter and giggles were heard in the air. That evening the atmosphere was warm and tender, unlike the usual stifled feeling from the overwhelming rules that were not to be broken. Jingshi was radiating with jubilance and happiness as fond, funny and delightful memories of the juniors and their seniors were shared. Ones of Jiang Cheng waking up Jingyi by kicking him out of bed and then dragging him to the training grounds. Ones of Wei Wuxian running for his life whenever Jin Ling brings Fairy to a night hunt. Fairy had grown attached to Wei Wuxian and seemed to like playing 'chase' with him.

And just like that, the evening continued as everyone relaxed while watching the funny antics of their friends and future selves. "Oh that's right, Young Mistress we should put on the memory of senior Wei and Baba cooking for your 17th birthday!" smirked Jingyi. The smirk made it obvious that Jingyi was scheming something. Jin Ling and Sizhui both froze on the spot at the reminder of that particular memory, while Jiang Cheng froze at the thought of Wei Wuxian cooking.

"Who was the smartass that let Wei Wuxian near the kitchen?!" Jiang Cheng questioned horrified. Sizhui opened his mouth to say something but was cut off when Jiang Cheng asked, "No never mind that! Did any of you eat the poison?!" he asked worriedly. "Hey!-" "You shut up Wei Wuxian, I'm asking if any of them digested your poison!" Jiang Cheng yelled. All the Juniors were solemn, which in itself was an answer. Jiang Cheng could tell that they had indeed eaten Wei Wuxian's 'food.'

Jiang Cheng scrunched his face and looked at them with pity Yanli was now also worried for the kids, but everyone else in the room just seemed confused.

Sizhui remembered how they were having a great time strolling around the market place on Jin Ling's birthday until they got home that night. Zizhen, remembering the events of the night, couldn't decide whether to laugh or cry, since he also had to eat the so called 'food.' He chose to laugh (wheeze) in the end. Jin Ling was making a face that no one could read, he paused for a minute before yelling out, "fine...and Zizhen stop laughing before I break your legs!" Jin Ling's face was covered in irritation and now looking at him everyone was curious to see just what had happened at Jin Ling's 17th birthday party.

Jin Ling had already decided that he should completely forget about that incident so rewatching it was not in his best graces. Trying to block out the memories Jin Ling instinctively stuck close to Sizhui almost hiding himself in the Lan's arms. His cute gestures didn't go unnoticed by Jiang Yanli who giggled into her long sleave and Wei Wuxian who smirked a teasing smile at his son. The memory started playing and everyone intently watched the large screen that had popped out of the talisman. (Except for Jin Ling who was monopolising his boyfriend).

- In the memory –

The four juniors were walking back to Lotus Pier after exploring the market and upon their arrival they see that many servants are crowded around the kitchen all whispering and looking nervous. "What is going on here?" Jin Ling sternly asked the servants and disciples. "Oh umm- Young Master Jin, I apologise but I think it would be better if you and your companions took a look for yourselves," one Jiang disciple stated while bowing. Jingyi who was as impatient as ever pushed past the crowd to find out what was happening, only to turn pale and blue in the face.

Sizhui had never seen a speechless Jingyi so it was safe to say that he was shocked. "Jingyi, Jingyi what is it?" Sizhui asked wondering just what in god's name could make Jingyi silent. He and the other two also made their way to the door. They saw Lan Zhan, Wei Ying, Jiang Cheng, Lan Xichen and Huaisang trying to cook.

Well to be honest, Jiang Cheng was cooking and arguing with Lan Zhan about Wei Ying's 'unique' cooking style. Wei Wuxian himself was adding the most crimson red spices he could find while avoiding Jiang Cheng's gaze, which obviously didn't work and ended up with Zidian trying to strike him (WWX). Huaisang was hiding his face behind his fan thinking of icing designs for the cake but all he could come up with were drawing and sketches of Jingyi and Lan Xichen, well at this moment he didn't know whether to laugh or cry whilst trying to calm his angry lotus down. It was chaos.
