Chapter 1: New beginnings

Amelia's Pov:

Only 3 more days until I'm off to the Paldea region. My mom thought it was best to send me to the boarding school over there so I could learn to be independent. At first I wasn't fond of this idea, but now I'm super excited! There's countless of opportunities and new pokémon waiting for me out there and I'm unbelievably lucky to be given this opportunity. I'll miss it over here in Galar though. All the Wooloo running around, dynamxing, the smell of freshly cooked curry. Most of all, I'm going to miss all my memories here. The day Hop's (my best friend) brother brought back pokémon for us will always be a core memory. That's the day I met my Cinderace, though at the time he was just a Scorebunny. Or the time me and Hop went looking for a lost Wooloo in the Slumbering Weald and first encountered Zacian and Zamazenta. I've done so many things here in Galar, including finding out the truth about the darkest day and putting an end to Chairman Rose's master plan. I've made so many new friends and even became champion. I've visited the Isle of armour and got urshfu, went to the crown tundra and met Peony who's like a father figure to me, and so many more incredible things. But alas, my time in Galar has come to an end, and in 3 days I will be off to the Paldea Region.

*Time skip*

As I'm finishing up packing, my door bursts open.

"AMELIAAAAAAA"

I turn to see Hop panting like a dog.

"Yes..?"

"Do you have to leave so soon, I'll miss you"

I laugh a little and walk over to Hop. I look him in the eyes and instantly know he's been crying for quite a while.

"I'll miss you more than you'll ever know"

We hug each other for about a minute before we pull away. His stomach lets out growl and I begin to laugh again

"It's not funny"

"Yeah, yeah. Do you want to go have a curry break with our Pokémon?"

"YES"

Hop races down the stairs, leaving me to grab the picnic stuff. I meet him outside and lay the blanket down then start to prepare to make some curry.

*Time skip, 3 days later*

I finish putting my last few items into my suit case. Unable to see due to the tears in my eyes, I do my best to walk over to the bathroom and grab a towel to clean my face. My mom is down stairs putting the rest of my bags in the car along with Hop. I head back to my room one last time to grab the suit case. I look over at all my Pokémon, saddened by the fact I won't be here anymore.

"I'll be back to visit everyone"

I put on a fake smile, probably the fakest one I ever had to make, as I go in for a group hug. These guys are the reason I'm where I am now, the reason I'm even champion. All their hard work paid off, I'll miss them more than anything.

"Amelia, come on we have to leave now!"

I pull away from my Pokémon and wave goodbye as I make my way down stairs. I grab a snack out the pantry and head out the door. The breeze in the air blows my hair as I walk to the car.

It really is a new beginning.
