Chapter Two

Koets pov-

The bright flashing lights were starting to get to my head. This place had a constant ear-splitting drone of horrible music and singing of the crowd, dark bodies slamming against each other in the shadows.
I was standing slack behind the bar, trying to melt into the familiar motions of pouring, mixing, and shaking, when a young woman, who I strangely found familiar, slowly stumbled up to the bar, she seemed slammed out of her mind.
"Give me a 3 shots, bar man, I'm dying for a drink." She paused for a moment, "You know... all the men here are so... attractive'' She slurred, as she ran her hands down her body attempting to look- sexy? Her face flushed, a grin widening across her face. I stared at her, my face fell blank.. Such a pitiful creature. It felt strange as I looked at her, someone I knew, though vaguely, could be so pathetic. She was just so pitiful and desperate, I could almost taste her misery, a slow smile found itself on my face. Perhaps she may prove useful.
"What brought you here tonight? You have just the most lovely smile..." I drawled slowly, sweeping my hair back. I watched in satisfaction as her face erupted in a bright red blush, it's almost too easy. I watched as in quick succession she chugged down all 3 shots.
"I hwihs I knew more men like you... such a gentleman" Her words continued to slur as she spoke but she seemed to be trying harder to sit up straight and look me in the eye. "You.. are such a handsome man" She giggled as she put her head down on her hands. 
"What do you say I take you home tonight, a favor for blessing me with your presence" I drawled slowly, smirking at her. She was alone, based on looks it seemed she had no one left. As I had assumed before, she was desperate. And just maybe, she would prove useful to me, if not--- well... let's not worry about that just now...
