"Bro! Why are you moping around? You're worrying me, and I don't like it," questioned Dillan. "Is it that noticeable, Dillan?" Adam asked. "Some mister stole your girl? Adam, there are other girls around here for you to pick out. There are more fish in the pond, like they always say. Come on, you aren't going to get a hot chick with that frowny face of yours," Dillan replied. Adam sighed and replied,"Damn it, Dillan, you're right for once. But I really like Layla, she stole my heart, but fucking Brad..... GGGGRRRRAAAAHHHH!!!" Adam punched the nearest locker. "Dude, take a chill pill!" said Dillan. "HEY!! TAKE IT EASY ON MY LOCKER! It did nothing wrong to you, did it?" Kat said frustrated. "Oh, hey Kat. Sorry someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed the past few weeks," Dillan said while pointing with his thumb at Adam. As Layla and Brad walked past the trio, Adam started to get teary eyed. Kat took note of this and turned to see who Adam was giving the death stare to. "Oh, I see what's up. Adam, if it makes you feel better I can find a better girl for you, who won't dump you in two weeks," Kat told Adam with a look of pity. "Thanks for the offer Kat, but I am good," replied Adam. "Alright, if you say so, but tell me when you would like me to start up finding you a girl," Kat said finally before opening her locker and grabbing her lunch. Dillan asked wearily, "So guys, are we ready for lunch?" "Yeah, let's get going. Kat, you're welcome to join us at lunch," replied Adam. "As long as it is okay if Anna can come along," Kat said to the pair of boys standing in front of her. Quickly and without thought, both Adam and Dillan replied in unison, "Sure, that's fine." Giggling, Kat said, "Alright, we should probably stop by Anna's locker." The trio walk to Anna's locker, then walk to the cafeteria, where Adam and Anna sit across from each other and Dillan and Kat sit across from each other as well. Adam thought to himself while staring at Anna. In Adam's thoughts: Since when has Anna been this adorably cute? Damn it, Adam, quit staring; she is getting uncomfortable. You fucking idiot; this is just your broken heart talking to you. "Hey Adam, are you alright? You're staring, and it's freaking me out a bit," Anna said, her face creased with concern. "Yeah, I'm alright. Sorry, I was just thinking about something," Adam said with a shy smile. With Adam's shy smile, both Dillan and Kat realized what his thoughts had possibly been.
