*Flashback*

BANG! What the hell just happened? I look down with horror to see one, I'm covered in tar and feathers, and two, the most important thing I saw was that Kat was seriously K.O.ed and was losing a lot of blood. I broke into tears that soon turned into anger and frustration. I looked over at Dillian who now had Kat in his arms, cradling her, and tears welled up in his eyes. At this point I realized who it was on the roof: Brad, the asshole who took the girl who I loved throughout Junior High. I'm gonna kick his ass next time I see him. I quickly snapped out of anger and rage when I heard poor Anna weeping at the side of her best friend in the entire world. I spoke softly, "Anna.... Anna.... Anna, it's going to be alright." She turned to me, still in tears, and said, "It won't be if no one calls an ambulance." Then she screamed at the top of her lungs, "SOMEONE CALL 911!! NOW!!" A few moments later the ambulance arrived and Anna, Dillian, and I sat in the back. On the ride there Dillian clenched poor Kat's hand and softly cooed in her ear, "Babe, it's going to be alright. I'll be by your side the whole time, I promise." Anna leaned against me and fell asleep until we arrived at the emergency room. We rushed out of the the back of the ambulance, and Dillian was still holding her hand rushing into the ER. Anna and I were close behind them. We stopped in our tracks and watched Dillian go in with Kat and a team of medics. Next thing I know Anna is on her knees sobbing. I bent down and hugged her, then picked her up and walked to the waiting room. I called Kat's aunt, the only family she has left, to tell her the bad news.
