"Joshua! Joooshua!"
That's his name, being called by Drake.
He looks at the stairs, that's where he heard him. He just finished going down the stairs. He was searching for them, but he thought they had disappeared, because he didn't hear them anymore.
'They' are two boys. One he knows, that's Drake. The other one is big and has glasses, but he has no idea who that is. He talks weird, though.
Looking at the toys he just found, he hears his name again.
"Joshua! Come here, come here!"
He carefully puts Mr. Paddel and Rookie down and promises the stuffed giraffe and the train that he'll be back. Then he runs to the stairs and starts the big climb. There are so many steps, but he is a big boy and can do it all by himself. With a big smile, he puts one knee on the second step and his hands on the fourth. He pushes himself all the way up to the next step and puts his other knee there. He does it again and again and againandagainandagainandagain-
His knees hit the end of the stairs and, with twinkling eyes, he scrambles to his feet. He can't contain his excitement as he stands before the door. The door of Drake's room.
"Dra'! Dra'!" He squeals with pride as he darts to the door. He can just grab the handle as he pushes it open.
But,
the door doesn't open.
In shock, he steps back.
"Dra'? Dra'? I 'ere!"
Where are you Drake? You just were here, calling my name.
He tries again, with all his might, but the door doesn't open.
He looks around him, searching for Drake and the Big Boy. Maybe they are playing that game again? That they hide behind the big, bad door and he has to save them? They already did that many times, but he likes playing games and Drake is really nice.
"No 'orry, I sa' ya!"
He hears giggling behind the door.
"Sjaa sjaa sjaa!" says the Big Boy and immediately they start laughing. Big Boy is talking weird again.
Are they telling jokes? He really likes jokes. They make him laugh a lot. He also wants to hear the joke.
He tries to open the door, but it still won't open. He thumps on it with his fists.
"Dra? Wha' se jo'?
...
Dra?"
Why doesn't the door open? Last time, it did open after he heard the laughing, but now it is still closed.
"Ope, Bi' Ba' Do'!"
This isn't funny any more.
Again, Big Boy talks weird.
"Bibbado, bibbado!"
They start slaming on the ground of laughter.
"Noohoo! Pwea!"
He slams into the door with his whole weight and continues thumping with his fists.
I also want to have fun! Please, can I have fun with you?
"Pea, pea pea, pea!" Laughter.
His heart falters for a second and he stops thumping.
Drake is talking weird now, too.
He slides on his knees as he wonders why, why can't I hear the joke?
They start talking even weirder while punching the door from the other side. In fright, he falls on his behind
and starts crying.
Big, watery tears seep from his eyes as he puts his head into his hands. His frame shakes with every sob that emits from deep within him.
"D- d- d- Dra'! 'E- el me!"
Why doesn't that stupid, bad door open?
"DRA'!" he screams and hopes Drake will hear him over the laughter, but it seems as if the laughter becomes harder and Drake doesn't hear him.
"DRA '!"
After hours and hours screaming Drake's name and pounding on the door, he's still where he was and the laughing hasn't vanished.
Defeated, his shoulders slump and he thumps one last time on the door. Then he turns around and rubs his red-rimmed eyes with his tiny fists. He starts the long way down the stairs again. His hiccups become less and less and, finally, when he's downstairs again, the hiccups are gone.
There, on the table, are Mr. Paddel and Rookie waiting for him. He silently walks to them and they hug. Then, they are on a plane, flying through the sky while there are pretty colours in the sky and the birds are-
"Joshua! Joooshua!"
That's his name, being called by Drake.
He looks up to the stairs, that's where he heard him.
He looks at Mr. Paddel and Rookie in his hands, but then puts them down while promising them that he'll come back.
Maybe Drake and that Big Boy want to play a game with him?
Excitement shoots through his system as he darts to the stairs and starts the long, long climb up,
because he really likes playing games.

Hi!
This one-shot just flew into my mind so I thought, why not write it down? :3
While I, maybe, actually have to learn for a test, but whatever! :P
This actually happens a lot, what in the story happens. You know, you were playing with your friend when suddenly that annoying little kid (sibling, cousin, neighboor?) Starts thumping on your door and talking gibberish. SO annoying, right?
Heheheheee, sorry! ^-^
Hope you find it worth your time! I did, way better than learning ;)
Don't forget to vote/leave a comment! :D
Sincerely yours,
