Letter 22

NARUTO'S P.O.V
I woke up that morning with an empty spot beside me that was still warm. Sasuke was gone. While getting out bed I could hear the water running. He was in the shower. I quickly dressed and went down stairs to help mother with breakfast but to my surprise it was already sitting on the table along with my father at its head reading the daily news.
"Good morning my son, how was your night?" Dad cheekily said while placing his paper down in a nice and neat pile.
"It was quite good actually. How about you?" He laughed.
"It was quite good he said!" Dad repeated me while slapping his knee in a laughing way. "Mine was excellent." He said after he calmed down.
Mum came gliding into the dining room with a jug full of juice and took a seat to the right of father as she put the jug down.
"Good morning darling." She said while pouring herself a glass.
"Morning mom." I replied while pulling out a seat.
"No you don't." Mom interrupted, while putting the jug back onto the placemat. "You have to go get Sasuke. You can't eat until your boyfriend has been seated and served." She smiled while taking dads glass to fill with juice. I looked at her for a while then sighed.
Sasuke may have been my boyfriend but food always came first!

NARRATORS P.O.V
After they had breakfast, Sasuke and Naruto headed to school but rather than going in Naruto's Jeep, they took the mustang. This was purely because Naruto wanted to show off and look cooler to Sasuke as the embarrassment that he had endured last night would surely still be there. When they pulled up into the schools parking lot many people stared, why wouldn't they? Naruto knew that as he was driving a mustang. That wasn't the only reason that people stared though. It was the raven headed person that exited from the front passengers seat. The raven who got his bag from the boot of the car. They stared because it was the most unusual sight that they had ever seen. Naruto and Sasuke exiting the same car together. It was the way that they laughed together. It was the warm feeling that they emitted.
"Ohhh~ Lou la la~" Came an annoying familiar voice that Sasuke wished would just stay quite forever.
"Naruto, keep walking. Don't pay that idiot any mind please." Sasuke said while putting his arm around Naruto's shoulders and picking up his pace.
"Haha, okay." Naruto laughed as he speed up his pace as well.
"Hey! Why are you two running away!" Yelled Suigetsu while chasing after them. "Don't you want to know what's on the news?" Naruto halted for a moment.
"Oh you mean about that global warming thing? The thing that you're doing for that science report of yours, right?" You could hear the warning in his voice as he spoke to Suigetsu. Sasuke stood there for a moment then he caught on.
"Dude, we don't really have time to worry about your global warming report, we have our drama assessment to worry about instead."
Suigetsu looked at them puzzled.
"What do you mean by global warming report, I'm talking about how Nar-"
Whack!
Karin had whacked Suigetsu with her purple coloured ring binder.
"If you dear utter a single word more, I'll do something even worse." She hissed into his ear. Only then did the realisation that they were in public dawn on him.
"Oh, shit." He looked around at the people who were only now going back to their own things. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean too, you know, talk about it." Naruto noded.
"Let's not talk about it here. Maybe some other time." Naruto said as he walked away, leaving Sasuke, Suigetsu and Karin standing dumbfounded. After a while Sasuke turned on Suigetsu and grabbed his collar.
"You idiot." He hissed.
"I'm sorry! Really sorry!" He put his hands into the air. "But you really need to see this, it's about you as well." He looked Sasuke straight in the eyes.

Sasuke now knew why everyone had been looking at him all morning. It wasn't because he got out of Naruto's car. It was that he knew Naruto Namikaze on a personal level. So personal that some media outlets are suspecting that they are dating. People didn't like that. People started asking around lunch time.

"So you know Naruto, like really closely?" Some random person that Sasuke had never seen in his life asked. Sasuke didn't really know how to respond to all the questions that he was bombarded with. He felt overwhelmed. It was then that someone stood up in the cafeteria with a load gasp. All eyes were on her. She had realised that she had made a scene a little to late and felt embarrassed by it. Her friend beside her asked what was wrong. She looked over at Sasuke with a look of relief. After a moment she walked towards Sasuke's and Naruto's table.
"You're not dating Naruto Namikaze right?" Sasuke recalled for a moment, shocked by how blunt the question was.
"What..?"
"Like everyone thinks that's what's happening but it's not like that right?"
"I'm sorry, why are you asking this?" Sasuke was very confused that it was almost to much for his brain to process.
"I mean, I just saw a post saying that your the new co-actor in one of Naruto's shows. Like your just co-stars, or something like that right?" By this point, Sasuke didn't know what to say. He was lost. He didn't know why everyone thought that this had anything to do with them. It wasn't their lives.
"What's it got to do with you?" Naruto shot at the girl who stumbled back in shock at Naruto's fierceness.
"Pardon..?" She mumbled. Naruto stood up from his seat at the table.
"What Sasuke does, and who he likes has nothing to do with you. What Naruto Namikaze does or who he likes has nothing to do with you either. If they're dating so what, that's their choice."
"Excuse me, why are you being really rude. This isn't like you Naruto!" The girl stomped her foot, a fit of rage brewing.
"I'm sorry if I'm not my usual bubbly self today but I'm sick of everyone bothering Sasuke just because they want to know what his realationship with a celebrity is. I mean he's just a celebrity. That's all."
"Why are you like this!" The girl screamed. Naruto just shuged.
"When people hurt my friends, I don't tend to be so happy about it." Naruto sighed. "Bottom line is, just leave him alone." Naruto went to walk away but was stopped by a hand that grabbed his arm. He looked back to see Sasuke sighing.
"You know what, you're really, really cool." He breathed, while getting up. "I guess I have to do something of equal measure, right?" Naruto shrugged.
"I guess, but you can't come back if you say anything stupid."
"What do you mean stupid?" Sasuke asked, wondering if Naruto could read his mind.
"I know exactly what you're thinking, I don't mind but you can't regret it later, okay?" Sasuke laughed.
"Me? Regret? That's funny." He said as he walked to face the girl head on.
"I'm sorry but I think there has been a mistake. You've got me all wrong. I'm not dating Naruto Namikaze." He paused for a moment as he could feel everyone let out a breath. "I'm dating that Naruto." He said as he pointed back at Naruto. Everyone gasped. Shock evident in their faces. All except one. Kiba laughed as hard as he could. His laugh echoed throughout the cafeteria, shallowing every other sound in its wake.
"Oh my gosh, I might as well be watching a drama with you two. Although I kinda saw this coming, you know when you have a hunch about something." He kept laughing as he stood up and walked towards them. "Next you're going to tell me that this Naruto's the other Naruto." Naruto froze for a moment.
"I hate to disappoint but I'm not." Kiba laughed again.
"We'll if you ever change your mind, you know where to find me." He paused for a moment and stood back. "Wow, you two look great together. I mean just look at you!" He empathised.
Whack!
Karin with the binder again.
"Why do boys always say more than they need too." She sighed. "Anyways, we have a problem. There's reporters outside who want to see Sasuke and Naruto." She whispered the next part.
"I think they know."

I am finally done after three hours of this! Again, I haven't proof read this but oh well. This is a longer chapter as I won't be updating very often so year :)
