"No Wanda you can't leave!" I yell too late as she already blew a hole through the window. She flies out on the battlefield.

"Fuck" I say in a bit of panic as stare at the huge battle going on outside. This is a lot bigger than Sokovia.

The aliens have breached. Wanda rushed out. Shuri has Vision on the table. So far, no one has tried to enter the lab.

"I can't watch this" I say as the guns are firing away. Bombs are dropping and the screeching sound from the aliens are infiltrating my ears.

"Those things don't have heart beat" Matt says. He's taking this better than me. And I hate it.

"How do you figure where they are?" I ask with a snappy attitude.
Sometimes I do hate myself...

"Their breathing system is making a weird noise every time they move..."

"So if they come up here, you'll be able to throw a punch and hit?" I ask.

"Yes... if I stay optimistic" he says with a light tone.

"Stay realistic" I say, with a not so light tone. I'm stressed as hell to be fucking honest. This is not fun. At all. This day has been long, I'm tired and hungry and stressed. After this, we still have business to take care of in New York and.. focus. You're in Wakanda now, fighting. I say to myself.

"I'll be fine" he says and comes up to me. Places his hand on my cheeks and turns me to face him. The leather gloves doesn't feel as nice as his hands, but it'll do.

"So will you" he says and gives a quick kiss on the forehead before facing the battle again.

He might say we'll be ok, but I'm still sceptical.

"Matt!"

"Hey.. hey how.. you're ok?" I ask as I look at the feet poking out of the green fluffy bushes. I almost chuckle, but I decide to wait until I know he's ok through and through.

"I'm fine." I hear muffled from the bush.

The bush starts rattling as he tries to get out. The bushes are very fluffy and compact. If you're stuck, you're stuck.

"Are you ok?" I ask, holding back a tight smile, feeling my chest warming. It's a nice break from the fight.

"Yes."

"So I can laugh?" I ask over the rattling.

The rattling stops. I get no answer.

"Matt?" I say as I can't keep my laugh serious, so I let out a small laugh, just a quick one whilst holding the rest back.

Still very quiet.

"No" the bush says.

"No?"

"No..." the bush says with an attitude.

I breathe and holding back the laugh causes my mouth to frown downwards. I take another deep breath.

"Okay" I say very quietly with a nod and a smile.

I reach my hand out to either drag him out by the feet, or help him out with a hand. I bend forward, feeling my ribs stretch a bit too far for my current comfort zone. Those space dogs got me good.

My hand reaches his. Luckily, his suit is red, so my blood doesn't stain it visually. Just as I'm about to pull him up, my back arches and my feet lifts off the ground.

My eyes open and my lungs let out a quick and heavy breath. The kind you get after getting kicked in the stomach, except this is a shockwave hitting me from behind.
