Sitting in the Living Room

I look at my big toe
It pulsates
From very large
To very small

The toenail starts to grow
And grow

It twists and turns
Wrapping itself around my foot entirely
Stopping above my ankle

I watch
As my skin begins to change
From a pale white
To a pale shade of lavender

The navy colored carpet
Under my feet
Grows thick
Into a lush
Green moss

Around me
Light brown mushrooms sprouts in clusters
With beautiful
little winged women
That glitter like gold
Laying elegantly upon them

A robin flies into the room
And perches on my shoulder

It rubs its' head against my face
And sings a soft melody into my ear

Looking at my new surroundings
I see my living room is now in a valley
Deep inside some woods

Down the way
Is a waterfall
Cascading over granite slabs
The water pooling into a serene pond

The full moon's light casting a beautiful beam down
Upon a unicorn
Drinking so elegantly
From the water

My attention shifts focus
From the unicorn
To the noise of the front door being unlocked

In walks my roommate

I now sit in sadness
As the woods fade
And reality seeps back
Into my mind
