Cold, edgy Y/n x hermione

Y/n was sitting in the Gryffindor common room, staring into the fire with a blank expression. He was known to be cold and distant, with an edgy demeanor that made most people avoid him. But Hermione Granger was not most people. She had always been intrigued by the enigma that was Y/n, and found herself drawn to him despite his reputation.

As the winter chill set in, Hermione found herself watching Y/n more and more often. She couldn't help but wonder what was going on behind his icy exterior. So, one evening, she decided to approach him.

"Y/n, can I talk to you for a moment?" she asked tentatively.

Y/n looked up at her, his dark eyes piercing. "What do you want?" he asked bluntly.

Hermione took a deep breath. "I want to know more about you," she said honestly. "You're so closed off and I feel like there's so much more to you than what you show the world."

Y/n raised an eyebrow. "And why do you care?" he asked skeptically.

Hermione shrugged. "I don't know. I just do. You intrigue me, Y/n."

Y/n studied her for a moment before finally relenting. "Fine. What do you want to know?"

As they talked, Hermione found herself getting lost in Y/n's words. He was well-spoken, intelligent, and surprisingly vulnerable when he allowed himself to be. She could see that there was a lot more to him than his cold exterior suggested.

As the night wore on, the common room emptied out until it was just the two of them left. Y/n stood up to leave, but Hermione reached out and grabbed his hand.

"Y/n, please stay," she said softly.

Y/n hesitated for a moment before sitting back down. Hermione scooted closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder. Y/n stiffened at first, but then slowly relaxed, wrapping an arm around her.

They sat there in silence for a while, enjoying each other's company and the warmth of the fire. Hermione felt a sense of contentment wash over her, like she had found something she had been searching for without even realizing it.

As the night grew late, they finally decided to head back to their respective dormitories. As they parted ways, Y/n turned to Hermione and said, "Thanks for tonight. I... I enjoyed it."

Hermione smiled softly. "Me too, Y/n. Me too."

A/N: Somthing different for y'all, cuz I fear the shyness is being overused! So here's a new approach.
