Growing Up: Violet was mostly raised mostly by her mother. Her father - General Shepherd - was always too busy for her and her mother. When he did have time to spare for Violet and her mother; it usually ended up with him fighting and arguing with them. So when Violet got older, she used to joke about having 'daddy issues'.
She grew up in a military life style. Moving from base to base depending on where Shepherd was stationed. She was a pretty lonely child, never being able to have friends or even a boyfriend (not like she really cared about having one). Her loneliness made her have a short temper and a bad attitude. It got worse when her mother died from a drunk driver driving down the wrong side of the road when Violet was 16. Her mother had left the house in a rush with angry tears in her eyes from a brutal fight with Shepherd. Due to her crying, her vision was blurry and she couldn't see the roads correctly and failed to see the other driver. Violet took the death of her mother hard and blamed Shepherd.
When she turned 17, she immediately joined the Army. She was still grieving for her mom and felt like she needed a purpose in life. (Tw: mention of SA) But unfortunately woman in the military experience the most sexism and abuse of power from men. At the age of 18, a sergeant took advantage of her lower rank and used his rank over her to make her do things for him (sorry...) For almost a year she was scared to say anything. Eventually her father found out and in an act to get back on Violet's good side, he quickly sentence the disgusting man to prison.
She used her anger and frustration to quickly rise through the ranks, becoming the youngest Lieutenant at the age of 25. She was considered a jack of many trades. She was good with most guns, knives and even loved using swords. She also was good with collecting Intel and leading interrogation by using her womanly charms on men (or simply using horrific torture means). She earned her code-name Man-Eater (Also was nicknamed Ice Princess) after a mission when she was 21. She had to infiltrate a night club and use any means necessary to get information out of the owner about a drug cartel in the area. She used her body as a weapon on her targets. She found seducing men was easy; but she had boundaries for herself that she would never cross for her job. She made sure that no man ever touched her again.
