Chapter 2

(This chapter is more of a backstory type of chapter.)

Mom: "Y/n! Come downstairs! Someone is looking for you!!!"
She screamed from the living room.

She sounded annoyed.

Who can it be at this time? It's 7:00 am on a Saturday? Usually, everyone sleeps until at least 10:00 am on the weekends, since school kills you.

I began putting on plaid pajama pants and a baggy shirt, to give the impression that I didn't sleep in my underwear and headed downstairs.

My heart began pounding so fast.
If it was Annie or Armin I would have to confront them today about what happened last night, but what if she doesn't remember since she was very drunk?
What if he doesn't forgive me for accidentally throwing the alcohol at him?
What if he doesn't want to talk to me ever again?
Why did he call me that?

Now I'm overthinking stuff.

Hanji: "Long time no see! Good morning Y/n!"
They stood up from my couch and rushed over to hug me.

Y/n: "GOOD MORNING!!!"
I hugged them tightly.

I no longer felt nervous.

Hanji: "Levi told me that you were looking for me yesterday! Sorry, I didn't text you, I was outside in the pool most of the night and they told me you left early, So I decided to come to talk to you before I head to Costa Rica!"
She pointed to the luggage sitting on my front door.

Y/n: "What? When are you coming back?"
I asked as I turned my attention back to them.

Hanji: "A week before classes start again! I'm happy that we would be able to see each other more often!"
They pulled out their phone and started typing something.

Hanji: "Also what was it that you wanted to talk to me about?"
They said looking up from their phone.

Y/n: "Have you had breakfast yet? Let me at least thank you properly for writing the recommendation letter!"
I smiled.

Thanks to Hanji I was able to save up about $320,000; Giving me a full-ride scholarship and leaving me debt free, they deserved a proper thank you.

Hanji: "Only if I can pay for you, darling!"
He grabbed her keys and we started heading out to 'The Bite of Life'.

A beautiful small coffee shop that sold the best desserts ever.
It was a bit far away from our town 'Castlewoods', but it was a perfect distance from Fritz University, So I wouldn't feel that homesick while being away.

7:45 am

We decided to sit outside, right next to the freshly bloomed flowers on the comfortable white seats.

I haven't been here in a while.

The weather was perfect for a Picnic....

New hot Waiter: "Hey! My name's Carter, how can I help you today- today?"
He stuttered; making me leave my trance and look at him.

"Thank you, Carter." I thought as I opened the menu.
I usually only had to say that I wanted "My usual" but he was new.
I would've noticed such a Cute boy, especially with those big green eyes and blonde hair.

Weird.
He looked as if Eren and Armin had a child.

Why am I still thinking about him? He most definitely hates you now because he thinks you did that on purpose.... Fuck, Annie.

Hanji: "Y/n? It's your turn to order!"
They waved their hand in front of me, trying to get me to pay attention.

Y/n: "Oh yeah, I would like to have an order of Fluffy pancakes, please! With orange juice! Thank you!"
I smiled and handed him my menu.
