"What?!" Nathan shouted.
"Yes. I'll let you do anything to me, but not disturb me from my daily duties as a child of a family and a student, and you let her go."
"Hmm," Andrew hummed.
"No way!" Nathan snapped. Sheesh...
"No?" I wanted to clarify.
"No! Not on my watch, Grimes. You and that girl are both victims of me, and nothing's changing that!" He declared as his finger threatened me, but I didn't feel the least bit scared.
"Then I'm quitting this shit," I countered. "This day hasn't been of use to my life then."
"What-" Nathan got interrupted.
"Huddle up, guys." Andrew commanded. And they did.
The four idiots went back to their stupid huddling when I could still hear them.
"....consider..."
"What?! Hell no!"
"...shut up, Nathan..."
".......deal..."
"...agree with her..."
"Me too."
"Ditto."
"...consider..."
"Fine."
"Good."
"Okay."
"You're dead for this."
The four of them turned back to us, and we were all facing each other.
"So I'm sure you heard Nathan's commanding rants," Andrew guessed.
I nodded at him. "Of course."
"So, Nathan," he gestured to Nathan, whose face was like someone who gave in.
"Whatever. It's a deal, Grimes." He offered his hand to me, and I smiled.
"Thank you," I said kindly as I slowly gave my hand and shook it, but it somehow felt weird.
He must have felt it too, because we both pulled away at the same time.
"So, it's settled. Veronica is now under our watch, and that girl is set free. So," Andrew finally concluded, "if she says a word about this, she's our next victim."
I swallowed my pride, and tried to reprocess what I had done when I had it controlling me. My future could be greatly affected because of this, and I was held responsible for it.
Besides, this all began when I meddling on their doings.
It could either be a good thing or a bad one. And I say both.

I went to school today as early as yesterday. My head was basically throbbing because of the extreme studying last night, and the work Mom and I did when we made chicken.
I was exhausted. I felt like shutting down and snoring more in bed.
God, why am I acting like this?
I entered the hallways in silence, noticing the other students when I got to my locker and proceeded stuffing it with my things before getting what I really needed. First period today was Chemistry. And I needed a-
"Morning, Veronica!"
I jumped three feet away from my locker, accidentally shutting it, and it revealed someone's face that I met yesterday.
