Welcome to Fairy Tail {Gray Fullbuster x Reader}

The large auburn doors opened wide to reveal dozens of people you had never seen before.

Taking in a big gulp of booze scented air you gripped the handle on your small suitcase with a nervous sweaty palm.

"I finally made it. Fairy Tail. The strongest guild in all of Fiore! I can't wait to be a member!"

Excitedly you made your way inside and looked around the vast space. Ceiling high and floor wide you were amazed at the sheer size of this building.

"Just as I pictured a famous guildhall to look like."

With a smile you made you way over to a small older man with grey hair, grey facial hair, and kind eyes.

"Greetings, child! Have you come seeking a place in our guild?" He said.

A tall, beautiful woman stood next to him with long white hair and deep blue eyes. She looked at you with a warm expression on her face, and her eyes twinkling with excitement.

"Welcome! I would be happy to offer you your emblem if you choose to join our guild! I promise you will love it here! This place is filled with talented, and wonderful wizards." Her hand swept across the guild as she spoke, and her eyes followed, the warmth in them shining through as she seemed proud.

Your eyes followed her hand as you could even tell how powerful these people were. You could feel their magic energy coming off in waves and it filled you with excitement and even a touch of intimidation.

"Yes. I've travelled very far just to come and join this guild. I have heard of you guys and the chaos you create after every job." You giggled as the older man grimaced and sipped at a mug of ale.

"Yes well, we certainly have quite the dysfunctional bunch here. They are loyal and brave warriors indeed. I just wish they wouldn't destroy each town they go to help."

The woman let out a laugh and patted the man's back as he took a swig of his ale.

"Come now, dear. Let's get this emblem put on you." She said.

You followed the woman as she led you over to an empty space at the counter. She then pulled out a strange stamping tool and stamped the emblem onto your body before putting the tool away with a smile.

"There! Now you are a full fledged member of Fairy Tail. Oh! By the way, my name is Mirajane, and the man that you were speaking to earlier is our Master, Makarov."

"It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is, Y/N. I do look forward to working with you, and everyone else here in Fairy Tail!"

Mirajane gave you a smile and nodded. "Of course. I can assure you we all are looking forward to working with you as well."

She then gestured over to the board full of papers. "Here is where all our jobs are posted. The upper level is where our more powerful jobs are, however those are only applicable to the S-Class wizards."

You nod along to what she was saying, still in a sort of stupor of amazement. Hearing that there were jobs specifically targeted for S-Class wizards filled you with a sense of determination and awe. The fact that there were powerful wizards like that in a guild was extremely cool. Along with that it also made you want to work hard to climb up the ranks to eventually be one of those all powerful wizards.

"It's fairly quiet in the guildhall today. If you would like you can try your luck at a job. I know you're just a new member and all, but I'm sure there are some smaller jobs you could take on."

Mirajane pulled you from your thoughts with her suggestion and after pondering on it for a split second you decided to give it a try.

"Alright! I'd be down for that."
