Chapter Ten

Reginald took a deep breath before ringing Ashanti's door bell . After his phone call with her when she revealed her pregnancy he blocked her so he could enjoy his weekend with Chrissy but he couldn't at the thought of Chrissy finding out about her baby and leaving him for good .

So he decided to come see her while Chrissy was working to maybe convince her to
abort the baby .

It took her a minute but she finally came to the door and when she saw it was Reginald her heart started beating hoping that he changed his mind about the baby.

" come'in " she said as she stepped to the side to let him inside. " what brings you by ? " She asked him .

" I went and got you some more test to take " He said as he handed her the Cvs bag he was holding in his hand. 

" So you think i'm lying ? " Ashanti asked raising an eyebrow .

" Nah .. I don't think you would lie about something as serious as that but some test ne faulty that's why I got some more to be sure it's accurate " He explained .

" Ok ... i have to drink somewhere water first" She said as she went to the kitchen and drunk her some water so she would be able to use the bathroom . While she waited for her bladder to be full she took a seat next to Reginald on the couch . " Why would you say to me what you said to me on the phone the other night ? I'm not playing the victim because i'm just as wrong as you are here but you don't think you could've talked to me nicer? "

" I most definitely could've talked to you way nicer and I'm sorry for how I treated you over the phone , i'm sorry for how I went about that and I do love you Ashanti but come'on I can't have a baby with you " He spoke to her gently. 

" You can you just don't want Chrissy to find out " Ashanti said . " She already forgave you for cheating , she knew you cheated so maybe she'll be ok with me having your baby if she forgave you already you can tell her i was already pregnant and we just found out "

"It's not all about her though Shanti .. I don't want to raise a kid in a broken household . When me and Chrissy have kids our child may feel left out or feel a type of way and I don't want that " Reginald explained . He was honestly just saying whatever sounded good .

" That is a good reason but I can't do it " She said . " and i'm not going to force you to do anything , i'm not going to force you to be apart if you decide that your relationship is more important than being a father to your child then that's your choice that you will have to live with " She said .

Ashanti wasn't going to sit and play the victim. She was just as wrong as Reginald was in this situation. From day one he was upfront and told her he was in a relationship and he planned on marrying his girlfriend and he just wanted to have fun .

Being young and fresh out of college with trouble finding a job she was blind sided by Reginald's handsomeness and his money that he was very generous with . She had never worn so many name brands in her life , he even gave her money for bills and paid her rent so she thought she was winning because she didn't want anything serious and she was getting paid for her fling but now that she was pregnant she was definitely feeling the consequences of messing with a taken man .

Reginald didn't respond. " I'm going to go take the test now " She said as she went to the bathroom . She already knew what they would say because she had already taken three but if it would make him feel more sure she didn't mind taking more .

She came back with the test wrapped in a napkin and sat them on his lap. When he see the test were positive he signed and ran his hand over his face . He was quiet for a while until he spoke .
