Divine go up almost unfazed this type of thing happened to Divine almost every night her mother would get jealous of Divine and accused her of sleeping with half of Chicago just like her

Divine got up took a shower and started cleaning she cleaned the project apartment as good as she can then cooked some easy pasta when she was done she cleaned her mess set the table and walked back to her room and fixed her hair

On the internet Divine made it seem like nothing was wrong she hated to vent because no one would listen she hated people in her business because she felt they would always use it against her
"DIVINE BRING YOUR ASS HERE THERE HERE" her mother yelled sounding as if she sobered up
She ran down stairs pulling up her all black tights and making sure her socks covered her ankles hearing someone knocking on the door "I'll get the door mom" she said "bitch I know you will the fuck"her mother responded rudely
"Hello" she said in a low tone opening the door the man pushed his way in clutching his gun as a young boy followed him
"Divine sit your ass down right there" she pointed to the seat in front of the 3 she sat down quietly playing with her hands
She looked at the boy who seemed to be some years older than her "alright you got my money" he said "well n-no BUT BUT-" right as her mother tried to finish her sentence she was shot 3 times in her face Divine got up and ran to her room she's seen all of her closets family die from gun violence it wasn't nothing new she grabbed her baby brother and hid in the closet
"Shh loyal" she loudly whispered to the crying baby "shhh please" she said as she started crying
The door swung open and she felt loyal being snatched out of her arm put into the younger mans arms and her being dragged by her hair "please don't hurt him" Divine pleaded

She woke up in what seemed like a basement with nothing but her underwear "loyal?!" She screamed her brother if her world the only person she cared about even though he was only 9 months he gave her a reason to live he was her only hope then the
door open "please don't get him please please please" she said sobbing "folks shut the fuck up ain't nobody gone hurt that baby" a man with blond and black dreads "give him to me he's not gonna stop crying unless he's with me I know he's crying right now"
"Mane.." the man walked out then came back in a few minutes later with the baby some diapers and other baby toys and things
"Shhhh" she said rocking the crying baby "that's yo son? The man asked "s- what no I'm way to young for that this is my baby brother but I guess he's close enough to my son " she mumbled
"How old is you folks" he asked eyeing the girl sitting in the floor in the room basement
"I'm 16 I turn 17 June 11th me and him have the same birthday" she said with a wild smile "damn you a baby for real" he said shaking his head sitting in a chair in the corner of the room
"How old is he and how long you been taking care of him what's your name?" He asked
"You know you ask a lot of questions but I guess because I can't go nowhere he turns 1 in 3 months I've been taking care of him sense the minute he was born literally my mom had him went to sleep then left to get high she didn't do anything moms regularly do no skin to skin contact nothing I did skin to skin contact with him before she did she told the doctors that this wasn't her baby and they switched it she's been saying that sense she had him even tho that didn't take him out the room she was probably high" she ranted
