Planet: Promethea

Y/n pov

"Just another day being a lackey for the Atlas corporation. Who knew they hired teenagers? Oh well. At least the money is good."

I mumbled to myself as I went to work. I wish I could be in school right now but we need the money. Even if most of it goes to my dad's alcohol addiction. Walking into Atlas head quarters I saw Commandant Steele was giving her Platoon a motivational speech before they left for Pandora. Something about a group of people finding evidence of a new vault. Oh yeah, the eridian vaults are real. Atlas won't tell anyone though. The story of Typhon DeLeon is a well kept secret. I just so happened to overhear General Knoxx talking about it. I never liked him, or Commandant Steele. I hope that bitch gets eaten by a skag. Arriving at the testing labs I walked in and greeted my boss.

Walker:"Y/n! Good to see you. You have been promoted!"

Y/n:"Oh great. I went from medical guinea pig to weapon test dummy."

I said sarcasticly.

Walker:"No! No! It's not that. Now, I am sure you already know the vaults are real. Well, they are sending you into one."

Y/n:"What?!"

I asked in surprised shock.

Walker:"Well, not INTO into one. Just the perimeter outside the Vault. A scouting run if you will."

Y/n:"I think I would rather be the weapon test dummy."

I told him. I wanted nothing to do with the vaults. I didn't want my existance to end up a myth.

Walker:"It'll be fine! Worst case scenario you get a busted leg from a bad fall."

Y/n:"Not very reassuring."

I told him.

Y/n:"I don't care how safe it may be, I want nothing to do with this!"

I shouted out.

Walker:"Unfortunately you don't get a choice. Go down to sub level 16. They will get you outfitted and ready for your trip."

After about 2 hours they had dropped me off at the vault. They had paved over it and put a train station there. They called it Apollyon Station.

Y/n:"Okay Y/n. Just gotta risk the fact I ever existed in the first place today. Fuck. Why did it have to be Atlas of all corporations? Why couldn't it have been Dahl or Hyperion? Or even Tediore? At least Tediore doesn't treat their employees like shit."

I ranted to myself as I progressed towards the Vault. Aside from some weird statues and odd glowing orbs floating around, there was nothing unusual. Then a few of the glowing orbs started moving towards the statues and went into them? What the fuck?

Y/n:"Okay. That's weird."

I said to myself. It was then one of the statues came to life and started attacking me. I did my best to dodge but whatever brought this statue to life must have been a trained fighter as it had me pinned to the wall. Panicking I frantically grabbed the only weapon Atlas gave me. Which was just a knife. Fuck you Atlas. I thrusted the knife into the things neck as a light blue glow started emanating from the thing. It was then that everything went white.

An undetermined amount of time later.

3rd person

We see Y/n standing in the middle of Atlas head quarters. A strange polearm in his hands and surrounded by several dead Atlas soldiers. Along with even more live Atlas soldiers surrounding him, weapons drawn and ready to fire.

Y/n:"What the fu-"

Was all he could get out before he had been tackled from behind and restrained.

Two hours later

Atlas interrogation room.

Y/n pov

Y/n:"I'm telling you. I don't know what happened after that! I stabbed the thing that attacked me, everything went white, and the next time I was able to see I was standing in the middle of Atlas HQ with a weird weapon in my hands surrounded by soldiers. A lot of them dead."

I said for the fourth time today. General Knoxx was out of his armor which was unusual.

Knoxx:"You went missing for almost a month, show up at Atlas HQ, and massacre 47 men, and you have no idea how you did it? I find that hard to believe."

Y/n:"Find it as hard to believe as you want! I have no clue how I even got out of that damn cave, let alone back to Atlas HQ!"

Knoxx:"Regardless. There has been complications on Pandora. I will be leaving to deal with it after Commandant Steele's failure ending in her death."

I perked up at that. I always hated that bitch.

Knoxx:"When I get back I expect a full length, in detail, report on what happened."

He said before he left the room. And that was the last I ever heard of general Knoxx. Or Atlas. Turns out, messing with a group of Vault Hunters is a bad idea.

Alright. A Borderlands story. Now this story will likely be updated more often than the Rwby one as it is easier to write a fanfic about a game I have spent way too much time playing.
