A lot of people say I'm not like other Slytherins. I hate it when they say that. The only thing that makes me different is that I'm actually nice to Gryffindors. Not many people talk to me, I'm quiet and it is a known fact quiet Slytherins are usually the scariest. I mean, I do scare a few first years every now and then, and glare at people, but once they do talk to me they realise how nice I actually am, however the ones who don't talk to me (which is most the population of the school) are scared of me.

I walk into divination late. Trelawney doesn't really say anything. I look for a seat and find the only one left is next to Pansy. We both smirk. I sit beside her and she doesn't say anything but I still laugh inwardly. Pansy may seem like a bitch, and she is, but she's also one of my best friends meaning she isn't that bad toward me.

Through the first ten minutes of Divination we can't stop laughing and I've snorted on two occasions so Trelawney asks that I swap seats with Blaise whose sitting next to Draco. Draco and I aren't on the best terms. Last year I accidentally pushed him into the black lake. Ever since then he's always avoided me. He'd never say anything to me though, my father and his father work in the ministry together and are both very high up. Draco's father would punish him if he started an argument with me and my father found out.

As I sit next to Draco I see him shuffle away from me slightly. I roll my eyes. Another ten minutes into the lesson and the side of my face is scrunched up because I'm leaning it heavily onto my hand. Draco sighs so I look back at him. He glances at me for a second before looking back to the front.

"I'm sorry" I whisper leaning back in my chair. He looks at me again, and doesn't turn to look to the front again.

"sorry for pushing you into the lake that one time by accident...sorry for embarrassing you completely...and not doing anything when you got called a fish for two weeks...and I'm very sorry for waiting so long to apologise...and I'm sorry for apologising so much...sorry"

He smirks the same smirk he's been doing since first year. "it's...okay" he replies. I sigh whilst leaning back in my chair.

"I really feel like pranking Pansy for having such a good time without me" I say looking over to Pansy whose laughing with Blaise. "will you help me?" I ask looking at Draco. He nods still smirking. Through the rest of Divination I feel him staring at me. I try not to look at him but I can't help it. His eyes are just so...captivating? Ugh, I'm being so cheesy about this.

Once lunch arrives Draco and I walk there together. It doesn't look too weird since we're both Slytherins but other Slytherins do stare since they know Draco and I never hang out. "what now?" he asks.

"well, maybe we should..." I look around for ideas. I spot a girl with really nice red hair. Hair!! "we could change her hair colour for a week or two?" I grin. He grins and starts walking with me.

"how are we going to do that?" he asks.

"just watch and learn Draco" I say. Once we put a neon pink hair dye in her shampoo (that I may or may not have gotten from the Weasley twins) we run out of the room laughing together. We run through the common room and out into the halls. We look at each other and then start laughing all over again.

"this is going to be great" he says. I nod. He stands up straight and looks into my eyes. He starts leaning forward. This is where I freak. I don't know why but I slightly stand back.

"I-I uh, I've got to go" I say and then start stumbling away. I don't want to look back and see the hurt on his face. So I carry on running.

In the morning I walk to breakfast with Draco, neither of us talk about what happened yesterday. I really have no explanation for myself. I ruined my first and only chance.

Once we start approaching the great hall I stop. "let's walk in separately" I suggest. I register the hurt on his face and realise how that sounded. "so it doesn't look suspicious!" I add. He nods and walks in first. I walk in a little while after. I decide to sit with the Gryffindors. They're the only other house I interact with and they're pretty much used to my random visits by now.

"hello" I greet them. They all greet me back looking very tired.

"(Y/n)!!" Pansy fumes storming into the great hall. I snort and put my hand next to my face to cover it, the whole hall erupts in laughter. I get under the table and crawl over to the Slytherin table. It's pretty easy since not everyone is down for breakfast. I find Draco and grab his arm. We both start running and manage to escape an extremely angry Pansy. We try to catch our breath in the corridor but we hear Pansy storming after us. We run once again.

Draco drags me into a near by broom cupboard. Once we're squeezed in my heart starts thudding at how close we are. We hear Pansy run past us and chuckle.

"that was close" Draco says. Once again we stare at each other. He looks to my lips and back to my eyes. I sigh.

"Draco I'm sorry for pulling away yesterday...I don't know why I did, I was just scared or nervous or...I don't know. But I really did want to kiss you-" once I say that his head shoots up. I'm about to talk again but he puts his hand over my mouth.

"you wanted to kiss me?" he asks. I nod. "and you still do?" he smirks, I nod again. "so...you wouldn't mind if I..." he doesn't finish his sentence, I shake my head. He gingerly takes his hand away from my mouth. Slowly he starts leaning in, as do I.

Once our lips meet my hands find their way around his neck and tug on his silky hair. When we pull away my arms are still attached to his neck and his hands are on my waist.

"we should do this again some time" I say causing him to laugh. This is where I belong, in Draco's arms.
