"You don't need to know anything about that." "You're right. I don't. And I'm not a therapist or anything. Bu-" "Then stop sticking yourself into business you don't understand." She interrupted frisk, slamming her hands on the table hard.

"Just tell Papyrus the truth about the fact you won't let Papyrus join the royal guard just because you think he's "too innocent and too nice"." They suggested, remaining thier patience. "I don't have to do that. I'd rather him maintain his innocence and continue being kind, then me telling him that!" She yelled, impatiently.

"He may be oblivious to some things but the longer you keep telling yourself that. It will become harder to reveal the truth. As a book once taught me." "When you build a tower of lies, it will eventually all come falling down on you. By then it will be too late to tell the truth." Frisk noted.

"You're bluffing!" She laughs "There's no way Papyrus will find out!" Frisk gave a small smile, As if it to say we'll see. "It's your choice," undyne frowned at that remark. Frisk pulled out a package of what looked like spaghetti out of thier backpack. "Is that... udon?" She asked, changing the subject. Frisk tilted thier head in confusion.

"So that's what they're called... hmmm." They murmured.

"Well I am hungry. might as well eat this thing at this point." "I bought three just incase I got hungry again." "Mind If I use your kitchen?"

"Just so you know I don't want to be friends with you brat." She spat out, as they cooked. Before frisk could speak, we both heard Papyrus. "I thought you two could be friends. But I guess I was wrong, I guess undyne wasn't up for the challenge!"

He said, then ran off. Did he... hear all that...? "CHALLENGE?!" Undyne roared. "You think I can't be friends with them?" "HA! I'll make them so in love with me, they will regret their previous actions!" "It's the perfect revenge!"

Frisk grimaced at the thought of being undynes friend just for papyrus's sake. Even if he wasn't trying to do that, the thought made them uncomfortable. Undyne sighed, trying to think of how to start a conversation. "Y'know, I was pretty hot headed as a kid. Once, to prove I was the strongest, I tried to FIGHT asgore."

She looked to the side. "Emphasis on TRIED. I couldn't even land a single blow on him!" "And what's worse, he refused to FIGHT back the entire time! I never felt so humiliated. . ." She looked down, then remembered something and looked back up. "And then, he said something goofy.." She mocked asgore in a deep voice.

" '...Excuse me, but would you like to know how to defeat me?' I said yes, from then on, he trained me! One day, during practice, I Finally knocked him down." ". . .I felt bad. But he was beaming! I've never seen anyone so proud to get thier but kicked!" She laughed a little more. "Anyway, Long story short, he kept training me, and now I'm head of the royal guard."

"So I'm the one who gets to train dorks how to FIGHT!" Her smile faltered. ". . . . And now that I think about it. Maybe I should've told Papyrus the truth." "And now he's probably upset, now that he knows what I told him about becoming part of royal guard was a lie."

Once the udon was done they both still continued to converse with one another, even as they ate. "I mean LOOK. He was supposed to capture you, but instead became friends with you." "Which is why I taught him to cook instead. In hopes steering him into another path..."

"I thought I could keep this secret forever. But I guess Suzy, mk, sans, gerson, lilith, alphys. And you. Were all right about our friendship being built on a lie."

"I was just to ignorant and stubborn to tell him. And now... it hurts. A lot." She admitted, looking down. "It wasn't like you could hide this forever. Even if you did you'd still have to live with the lie." Frisk responded. Undyne nodded.
