Jk: Hold on!
I try to follow after Kai, but Jungkook stops me, pulling me into his arms.
Jk: Just stay here, with me.... Please! His sweet voice calms my anxiety as I crumple further into his grasp. I smell his usual caramel scent, my hands gripping his strong shoulders tightly. His warmth still radiates around my skin just from that brief hug.
Still, I'm worried that he will see how nervous I am. So I have to escape his embrace.
Jk: I'm sorry , but ... I couldn't let you run after him.
Is he feeling sorry for me?
I feel miserable, his words sounding so sympathetic. Anger rushes into me, infuriated that he'd seen me in such a pathetic light.
Tae: Why does that matter to you? He's my boyfriend! and this is my problem, not yours! *I snap at him sharply, but he only responds with a cold smirk*
Jk: Do you love him that much! What is it? Money? Look? Reputation? None of those seem worth it to me.
Tae: Excuse me? Who does he think he is?
I glare at him with all the ferocity and indignation I can muster, but he seems unimpressed.
Jk: If those aren't the reasons, why are you with him when he treats you like that?
Tae: ... I don't know what you think you know about us. But we have been together for three years and that means something. How dare you to think you know about us after a brief interaction?
Jk: Hmm... *He raise an eyebrow, as if amused* You mean like how he abandoned you in the middle of a date will that also mean something to you later?
Tae: That's... *I'm unable to respond as his words poke at my wounds*
He steps towards me slowly, never breaking his gaze.
Jk: When cooking, there is always an optimal temperature and timing that make the dish perfect. Every ingredient has it's own perfect formula. But it doesn't change the fact that each and everyone of them has an optimal temperature and cooking, time to take it's best form. And of course, some dishes develop a rich flavour when it's aged over time. Like You Said.
