2.EARTH

The old man with no name was finally happy. He pampered Daerian with gifts of light and midnight cities, of darkness and dreams. But his best gift was a small ball that had an intricate pattern of blues, greens and browns embellished on it. The blue stole most of the space, with the brown taking a hard solid feel and second place. The green was slightly softer and seemed to move when Daerian breathed on it. The young boy was ecstatic with his gift. He shared it with his sisters and brother. Marina claimed the blue was almost as beautiful has she was. Aya wished she was as in touch with the world as the calm green and peaceful brown. Evaine was not content until he cut the ball in half and discovered a red hot acidic liquid which he fell in love with. Daerian was amazed that everyone had taken such a shine to it because he rathered the clear cover surrounding it, like a glass protecter.

When Marina turned fifteen and Evaine thirteen the father brought out the ball again. He enlarged it to a huge size and told them to care for it as he had. Then he walked away forever never to return. This ball was named Earth after the unnamed mans favorite nickname, Aethir, meaning Ruler of Rulers. The children never forgot the man, even to this very day.
