"Wow, Daisy, this place looks great!" Barnaby gazed at the Halloween decor in her office. "Looks just like a Spirit Halloween!"
"Oh that's right, you didn't see this yet," She smiled from her desk. "I'm a holiday person."
"Should I expect a Christmas tree in here?"
"It's about, 12-14 feet, floor to ceiling. Do you think I can get something that big?"
"As long as I get to put the star on top."
"I'd need your help decorating it anyways." She shrugged, "What brings you by?"
He held out an envelope to her with both paws. It was orange and black with her name in white.
"Ooooooh just a little somethin-somethin."
She took the envelope and opened it to an invite from Frank and Eddie to a Halloween party at their home.
"Watcha goin as?! Watcha goin as?!" Barnaby asked quickly.
"I don't know," She laughed a bit. "I just saw I was invited. Do they do this every year?"
"Yeah! It's great too!"
She looked down at the invite, "I'll have to visit Eddie and let him know I'm going."
Daisy stood up shoving the envelope in her back pocket.
"Do you want to come with?"
"No can do, Dais. I just wanted to stop by while I head over to costume. I'll catch yah later."
"Bye Barny," She smiled at him before leaving her office.
She'd been going to their home for game nights on the regular now but this was a bigger event.
With a smile on her face and a pep in her step she walked over to Eddie's room knocking on his door.
"Come in!" He called out.
"A paper invite, hand delivered by Barnaby?" She laughed a little.
"Hey, feel special, everyone else got Facebook invites." He sat down in his dressing room chair. "You're going to go right?"
"I wouldn't miss it for the world." She looked it over the invite once more, "Wait, it's THIS weekend?"
"Yeah, so, we forgot to give you an invite—"
"Eddie..." She groaned.
"Wait! It's not because we didn't want to invite you! Don't think that! Please don't!" He held up his hands. "We have an auto-send out with the same people on the list every year. Frank only realized recently you weren't on it. We never heard back from you...and that's why..." He then rubbed his head, "I'm sorry, Daisy. Are you upset?"
"Not at all," She smiled softly, "I understand I appreciate it regardless."
"So you're still going?"
"Of course, however I'll have to buy a costume asap."
OoOoOoO
"What about this one," Daisy stepped out of the dressing room to show Cindy her costume.
"Everyone does Harley Quinn." She crossed her arms.
"Damit, alright. Let me try on something else."
"Why are you all worked up about what you're going to look like?"
Daisy began to undress from her current costume for another, "There's going to be a lot of people there. Lots of people I don't know. Lots of famous people."
