Chapter 4

POV: Axolotl
I woke up to the sound of screaming? What happened? I went downstairs to see Juice at the bottom unconscious with blood on him!? "What happened?!" I said concerned. "We don't know!" Dahlia said. "We just heard a noise and came to check it out and saw joocie like this!" Squishy replied quickly. " what do we do?!" I asked. "Get a bandage!" I heard squishy say. " ok on it!" Tb said rushing to get the bandages. A few second passed and Tb came back with the bandages. "Wrap them around his head as carefully as you can." squishy said calmly. "Ok but can somebody else do it? I'm not that good with bandaging people." Tb said worried. " i don't want to hurt Juice more than he is now." Tb said worryingly. " I'll do it" I heard panther say. "Ok just be cautious" Squishy said. " I will don't worry." what had happened I thought to myself. " I wonder what could've happened?" Dahlia said. " i don't know but it looks like it hurt him bad." I said. " yeah" Tb said. As panther finished bandaging Juice Addie said something. " are we sure he isn't dead...? Have anyone of you checked his heart beat?" at that moment my heart skipped a beat... W-was Joocie dead...? I hope not he's my friend our friend. I would be devastated if he died. Things just wouldn't be the same. He's always there when we need him. He's always making us happy. He's always so cheery and it just makes everything better. I really hope he isn't dead...  All of us had sad serious faces on like we were all thinking the same thing. Until somebody spoke up. "N-no we haven't" I looked at Juice. Staring at his unconscious body. It just made me so sad. Even to think he was injured bad. It just- no he can't be dead right...? There's just there's no way he could b-be dead. Not Joocie out of everyone Juice. Why would anyone pick him to be the one that dies. He- he's not dead! I know it! There's no way he could be dead! Right...? I don't want to think he's dead. I don't wanna know if he's dead. I bury my head into my hands. So they don't see me crying. I never thought if he would ever be dead... He just- NO! HE WON'T BE DEAD I KNOW IT! He- he can't be dead. I can't let him die I didn't even say goodbye. So I went over to him and felt his pulse. Th-there wasn't anything... My heart dropped. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. NO! He-he can't be dead! Until... I felt something... I-it was a heartbeat a small one but that didn't matter. H-he was alive! Then there was another! "He's alive!" I said relieved. " JUICE IS ALIVE!" I said even happier than before. " oh thank the Lord" Squishy said as relieved as me. I heard some of them sigh in relief. " wait... I see something at the stairs where joocie was.." Addie said looking at the stairs. "Wait what?" Panther said going over there. We all followed along. " it- it's his phone" Tb said. " is it cracked or anything?" Dahlia asks. "No it's in perfect condition." Addie said. "What do we do with it?" I asked not knowing what to do." for now let's just put it next to him." Squishy said taking Joocies phone and laying it next to him. " so what do we do now?" I ask. "Well we could make lunch I guess" Dahlia said looking at the time. "It's 12:00 already?" Tb said confused. "Yeah we spent the last hours helping Juice." who's gonna make it? " I ask." I will this time you guys take a break. " Squishy said." okay for now I'm gonna take a nap for now. Wake me up when lunch is ready. " I say yawning." ok you can sleep on the couch or in your bed it's your choice. " Squishy said looking at me." I'll sleep on the couch that way if Joocie does anything I'll know. " I said making my desicion." ok sleep well" Squishy replied." I will thanks" I said going over to the couch next to the unconscious Juice. Why did it have to be him? My best friend? The one who helped me when things were hard." Axolotl are you okay? You've been looking at Joocie for a long time" Squishy said concerned." yeah... I'm fine just worried.. That's all... " I said sadly." okay just know you can talk to us." they replied."I know. I know... " I said still looking at Juice." well I'm gonna go to sleep now... " I said tired." okay lunch will be ready in about 40 minutes. " Squishy said looking at the clock." ok thanks" I replied. I closed my eyes and soon enough I was asleep.

" when do you think Joocie is gonna wake up? If he does that is... " I mumbled the last part." I don't know but I hope pretty soon. " Tb said." Axolotl seems really sad about it" Panther says." yeah I just hope that Juice is gonna wake u soon I'm worried for Axolotl. " I said." yeah me too" Squishy said sitting down at the table." how much longer until food's done? " Dahlia said clearly trying to change the subject." about 10 minutes" squishy said." 10? It's been 30 minutes already? " Tb said surprised." yeah we spent all that time talking. " Squishy said calmly." huh I guess time dies fly when you get distracted." Tb said. "yep" I responded." somebody go wake up Axolotl. " Squishy said." I will" panther volunteered. As panther said that they walked over to Axolotl and gently tapped on their shoulder. Axolotl woke up from that." huh?" Axolotl said confused on why they woke up." lunch is ready" Panther said walking over to the table ready to eat." oh ok" Axolotl replied walking over to it too." what are we having? " I ask." chicken nuggets and fries just like Joocie tried to make. " Squishy said." oh..." Axolotl said clearly upset about Joocie sense they looked back at him." oh.. I'm sorry I didn't mean too. " Squishy said regretting the last part they said." no i-its fine.. " Axolotl said wiping off a tear from their face. Im surprised I haven't cried yet." well we better start eating don't want Squishys food to go to waste do we? " Tb said changing the subject. "True" Panther said. So we are our food. Then we heard something coming from the couch... "Ugh my head..."
