Listen To Your Heart

~Prologue~

I cried my eyes out, hoping my favourite movie Peter Pan would help me feel better. I know it's ironic since my name is Wendy, but Peter Pan is a moving story.

Thats why I love Somewhere in Neverland by All Time Low, because of course I would run away with a guy who sang that to me.

More tears welled up in my eyes as I remembered when he sang that song to me.

My mum walked in the door, she didn't know why I was so upset, I hadn't known him for long, but during that short amount of time I still learned that he was the nicest, kindest person I ever knew.

"Don't cry" she said rubbing my back trying to comfort me.

"Mum you don't know anything about him, you never did!" I shouted at her

"You say not to cry but Im dying inside!" I broke down on the floor crying again.

"I know one thing about him, he was an amazing person, but it was never meant to be" she said, she was at me angry for me shouting at her, I could tell by the aggravation in her voice.

"I'm sorry for shouting at you mom, I just miss him so much." I say between sobs.

"It's alright I know how much he meant to you" she reached down to try pull me back up onto my bed. I didn't want to get up, so I just sat on the floor until she got the message.

"Can I just be alone for a while mum? I just need to clear my head." I whispered but she still heard me.

"Take all the time you need. I'll call you down for dinner if you want some in a while" she said as she walked out of the room, I waited until I couldn't hear her footsteps anymore before climbing back into my bed.

My life is like snakes and ladders, I will show you the starting line.
