~Wendy~
Walking home on a cold, wet day was the worst feeling. You have a bad enough day in school and then Mother Nature just says 'lets just her rain on her already crap day'
Luckily I have my music to keep me company. Music wasn't just something to listen to, it was my saviour. Words by bands and singers singing meaningful songs helped me get over my shyness.
"Met a girl at seventeen
Thought she meant the world to me
So I gave her everything,
She turned out to be a cheat"
I hummed along to one of my favourite songs.
'Is that If You Can't Hang by Sleeping with sirens?' Someone said pulling my earphones out of my ears. I tried to look at the person, but all I knew was that it was a boy. He had his hood up so you couldn't see his eyes.
'Um..... Yeah' I sped up my walking. What? For all I know he could try rape me!
Gosh I hope Im not thinking outloud. Then the guy may not be a creep, but he'll think I'm a nut-job!
'Go for your second thought' he said, I could see a smirk on his face.
'Huh? Aw hell no! Did I think outloud?' I said blushing uncontrollably.
' you kinda did. But it's ok! Your not a total nut-job. Believe me I've heard worse coming from other girls' he said laughing.
Oh great, probably one of those players from school. Wait am I thinking out loud again? No I'm positive that I'm not!
'Sorry but I have to get home.' I said, speeding up my walking again, I was probably going to trip over my own feet, knowing what a klutz I am.
'Here slow down you might fall, the ground is very slippery!' He called from behind me
'Sorry but my mother always told me to never talk to strangers' I called back.
'But I'm not a stranger! I'm Marcus... Marcus Wright from music class! You probably can't recognise me because of this damn hood!' He said laughing, while pulling his hood down so I could see his face.
I felt my cheeks burning up with embarrassment. Marcus Wright was the school flirt, he could flirt with you before math class, but after, he could treat you like a piece of dirt. His relationships never lasted long due to his flirting but the girls always ended up hating each other.
'Oh hi, and yes it is' I said, I hoped this would confuse him.
'What do you mean exactly?' He asked with a puzzled look on his face.
'It is If You Can't Hang by Sleeping with Sirens' I laughed
'Oh! Well I knew that anyway, so where do you live?' He asked, I wasn't sure weather to answer or not.
'Sorry but that sounds a little stalkerish, doesn't it?' I asked, is stalkerish even a word?
'Well I'm just trying to make conversation....' He trailed
'Well I'm sorry, but I have to go.' I said walking faster again.
'Wait! Wanda isn't it?' He called after me.
'Afraid not... You got the first letter right.... It's Wendy' I smirked
'Oh well Wendy, you see I have just moved into Beechwood, and I wondered if you could help me get back there?' He asked
Oh great..... If he says he lives in number five, swear I'm gonna scream.
'I do live in number five..... Why are you number four?' He asked
Fuck..... He's my new neighbour then... Damn, looks like Ill be seeing him more often than I want
'Yeah I live in number four... Looks like we're neighbours.....' I trailed off.
'Cool! Mind if I walk with you then?' He said, a bit over enthusiastic.
'I don't care.... I walk quickly though' I mumbled
'That's what the track team is for' he chuckled
I sped up my pace, wanting to get home quickly. But his steps were right behind mine. Looks like there is no escaping this guy is there?
I was never so happy to see my house coming into view.
'Number five' I said stopping outside of his house
'Thanks, you know, I am getting my drivers licence today, so maybe I could give you a ride to school if you want' he asked.
I wanted nothing more than to not have to get up early to walk to school, in the rain. My only worry... Was him driving the car.
'Can I trust you? You won't break speed limits or anything?' I asked, I wanted him to be a safe driver.
'Oh you can defiantly trust me. My instructor says I one of the most trustworthy people he has allowed to drive his car!' He says, I couldn't hear any sarcasm in his voice, maybe he is telling the truth....
'Ill ask my mum about it' I said. I started to walk towards my house.
'Ill see you later!' He called
'What?' I asked
Stupid question. I already knew the answer. Mum has invited them to dinner hasn't she?
' your mum invited my family and I to dinner' he said
Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner!

So I need ideas for chapter titles cause I'm not planning this story... I'm just writing this for fun!! So please leave me a comment of your favourite songs!! You never know... They could make the biggest plot twist!!
