MARIAS' POV:
Maria was sitting on her couch, holding a book. She had been excited about spending the day with her friends, but they had canceled their plans at the last minute. Maria felt disappointed for a moment, but then she decided to immerse herself in the pages of her book.
Suddenly, she heard her mother's phone ring. Her heart skipped a beat as she realized it might be her dad, who had been working abroad for as long as she could remember. She watched as her mother answered the phone, and her heart leaped with excitement when her mother handed her the phone.
"Hello Dad!" Maria exclaimed, her voice filled with joy.
"Hello sweetie, how are you?" her dad replied warmly.
"I'm fine, dad. How are you?" Maria asked, feeling the warmth of his love through the phone.
"I'm doing well, thank you for asking. Guess what? I'll be coming to Albania in a week or two!" he said, his voice filled with excitement.
Maria's heart swelled with joy at the news. She could hardly believe it! After over a year of not seeing her dad, he would finally be coming home. She couldn't wait to share the good news with her friends.
Before hanging up, her dad asked her to tell her little brother Mateo first, knowing how excited he would be. Maria promised to do so and said goodbye, her heart overflowing with happiness.Maria rushed to find her family and tell them the amazing news. They were all thrilled to hear that their dad was coming home. After a year of separation, the family was eager to reunite with him. They talked about the things they would do once he arrived and how much they had missed him. The news had brought them all closer together, and they were grateful for Maria's dad's hard work, which had allowed them to live a better life.
