I tap my pencil on the desk. It's funny, how the eraser goes up and down and up and down. Anyways, my name is Kaylee, and I'm in 8th Grade. We have approximately 14 days left of school (!) and I'm super excited to go to high school.

"Hey Kaylee!" My friend, Kayla waves to me. I wave back, and she fills me in on the latest gossip. "Okay, so Elle and I are in a fight and Elle is being a serious as-"

"Grasshole!" I interrupt.

Kayla looks at me weirdly before continuing. "Yeah, grasshole, and now we aren't speaking to each other!" She finishes with a huff and crosses her arms. I shake my head, knowing that there shouldn't be this much fighting.

"Guys, guys, guys! Guess what guess what guess what!" Becky squeals. I feel my eyes instinctively roll and ask, "What?" She replies, "FERN AND DUKE GOT BACK TOGETHER!" I sigh. That boy is bad news for our Fern. Anyways, we're way too young to be dating.

"Ew." Emma says, sliding into her seat. Becky rolls her eyes at her then continues on. Her mouth moves at 70 miles an hour and we all occasionally nod at some points, making her think that we're interested. Becky is the funniest though, so, I mean, we should probably listen to her more to actually develop a sense of humor.

"Okay, guys, have a great day!" Mrs. Rodriguez says, and we all bolt to the door, running to Mrs. Decker's room.

Mrs. Decker always denies it but she likes the popular girls more then the other kids. In fact, she once high-fived a kid for being rude to us.

I slide into my seat. Study Hall is the worst because none of our teachers ever assigned homework because the school year was almost over. Becky and I whisper a lot, and we giggle as we crack ourselves up with windows. Kayla glares at us before going back to her horror game. Emma just looks at us and shakes her head disappointingly. We just whisper and catch Mrs. Decker glaring at us.

The bell rings and we get out of our seats.

"Guys!" A voice yells. "Look!"

I see a bloodied face. I gasp as I get closer.

It's.
