Chapter 49: "arrested"

•Luella's Point Of View•

"Put your hand in mine" Lewis sighed fixing his black suit, I nodded and intertwined our fingers.

"Let me see your face"

I turned, his jaw clenched, "get back in the car"

"What?" I frowned, "Get back, and when you stop crying tell me, I'm waiting"

What the fuck is wrong with him?

"Lewis I'm not crying-"

"I said get back in" He opened the door and got me back in the front seat.

He's going to make me cry more.

"Here" he gave me a napkin, "tell me when you're done"

"Seriously? I'm not crying" I sighed out of frustration, "don't argue with me, Luella"

I squinted my eyes and stared at the ceiling of the car, why does he have to be an asshole right now?

"I'm done" I mumbled, "good, now smile" he put on a forced smile, I rolled my eyes and lifted my lips.

"Let's go" he intertwined our fingers again before walking inside the gorgeous place.

"Good evening sir, may I have your invitation?" A security guard said.

"Uh, you brought them right?" Lewis turned to me, "what no, you didn't tell me to"

"Oh for fuck's sake" Lewis let out a harsh breath, "I'm Nasir's son, let me in"

"I'm sorry sir, but I can't let anyone who doesn't have an invitation" the bearded man says folding his arms.

"God damn it" Lewis dialed a number on his phone.

"Can you tell this dickhead to let me the fuck in? Luella is pregnant and needs to rest" Lewis angrily says before hanging up.

A minute later, Nasir was walking to the gate with a sorry look on his face.

"I apologize Luella for the waiting" he gestured with his hand for the security guard to open the gate.

He finally let us in and I was welcomed with a hug from Nasir, "how are you sweet girl?"

"Good, how are you? Congratulations" I smiled walking inside with Lewis.

"We're going to say hi to Stella" Lewis stopped us and planted a kiss on my lips, "keep kissing me every now and then"

My cheeks flushed before I nodded.

"Oh Lewis!" Stella was holding a glass of wine, a huge grin on her face.

She pulled Lewis in a tight hug, I stood awkwardly next to them fiddling with my dress.

"Hello Luella" she studied me from head to toe before giving me a side hug.

"Congratulations" I smiled and she giggled, "Nasir is amazing! I hope one day you'll be married too" she nodded and went to greet other people.

Okay?

"Yeah sure" I mumbled walking to my parents who were standing next to a table talking.

"Lu!" They both pulled me in a hug and kissed my cheeks before doing the same to Lewis.

"How's my grandbaby?" My mom puts her hand on my belly, "living" I sighed.

Lewis took me to greet some of his dad's friends and some family members, including his grandparents.

He kissed me at least 4 times, on the cheeks, and my lips, it was really annoying considering the fact that we were so pissed at eachother.

I hated him so bad right now.
