Dorm, 7:42PM, Thursday Imani POV
Chpt 2 ✩- Roomie
"Last touches." My mom said, flattening down the sheets on my bed.
The sun was on the verge of being completely gone. Me and my mom have been working on my room since way early this morning.
My back is literally on fire and my legs are so sore from taking things up and down the stairs.
"I love it." I said with a wide smile, this is exactly how my Pinterest board looked like. All of the decor fit my personality, and many items from moms house filled the room.
"I bet you're glad I got this expensive ass dorm. Or your lil ass would be stuck in one room with two beds like a damn jail cell." She nitpicked with a scowl on her face. My mom is always gonna want and have the best for me, my sister, and herself. So i knew these little comments were jokes.
"The bathroom don't even work!" I mugged her, we found out that the water isn't running! How lucky of me.
"Mommy! No cursing!" Kayune chirped, pulling on my moms arm. Her r's sounding more like w's.
"Yeah mom stop cursing." I said sticking my tongue out at her.
"Im so sick of the both of y'all! Always tryna gang up on me!" A laugh erupted from her red lips, making me and Kay laugh.
I'm gonna miss them so much.
"Alright. It's almost 8:30, we gotta get out of here." My mom said two minutes after we all calmed down from our bubbly laughing.
"I don't wanna leave sissy." Kay said, sounding sadder than ever, bottom lip sticking out. This whole room is about to be filled with tears.
"It's okay KayKay, you can face time me on your ipad when you wake up tomorrow, okay?" I said opening my arms wide so I can get a good hug.
My arms squeezed her body. She was my baby, I raised her alongside my mom.
"I love you buttbutt." Kissing her cheek, i hugged her a little tighter.
"Love you too bubba." She whispered against my own cheek. Cutest thing on planet earth.
"Y'all just gone leave me out this hug? Like i'm not both of y'all mother! Y'all are so fake!" My mom said, hand on her hip.
I let go of Kayune at the same time she let go of me. The same idea on our minds.
We both ran at her and jumped on her, I'm giggling like a child. This is unreal.
"Mommy we won't leave you out!" "You know we love you Ma!"
She laughed, her arms coming around both of us. Of course she knows we love her, this is nothing new at all.
