florence's p.o.v:
I hit the plug of my blow-dryer that wasn't going into the outlet. My hair was soaking wet, and the water was dripping onto my t-shirt. It wasn't even my first night here yet and this house is malfunctioning.
I ended up throwing my dryer to the side, and grabbing a round-brush, and a towel. After what took an extra 15 minutes of my time, my hair was finally dry and sat pin-straight despite my best efforts to achieve a blowout look.
I heard a chuckle behind me and turned to face the brunette, who I now know as Brooklyn. "You could've just used the hair-dryer" he said picking it up off my bed and handing it to me.
I huffed, "I could've. But your outlet doesn't work.". He raised his eyebrows and I showed him how I tried to plug it in, and it didn't fit. He nodded his head, and turned the plug backwards and it slid right in.
I stared at the now perfectly working outlet, and turned back to the Brooklyn who was smirking at the back of my head.
"Wet hair makes it hard for me to think." I explained, as he nodded again, slowly and held in his laughter. I playfully shoved him to the side when he started full-on cackling.
"It really isn't funny." I said as I deadpanned at him, as he kept laughing. Frustrated at how stupid the fix was, and wanting to wipe off the smug look on his face, I threw a pillow at his face hard.
Now it was my turn to smirk.
I watched him fall on his butt from the force of the pillow and hold his right cheek, he looked up and glared at me. I took a step back as he picked up the pillow and dusted off his sweats. He put his finger in my face, and looked at me hard.
"Pack your bags, your leaving." he turned and walked out.
My jaw flew open, unable to believe what I just heard. The shock was short-lived as my face came in-contact with the pillow.
That bitch just lied AND threw a pillow at me. I grabbed a pillow off my bed, and started beating his back with it, chasing him down the stairs.
"You fucking scared me, shithead!" I said as I rushed him downstairs as he laughed and shielded his face from my whacks.
He ended up on the couch as I continued to beat the fuck out of him with the pillow, and kept laughing and kicking me like a seven year old with his feet.
He grabbed the pillow from me, but I wouldn't let it go. I clutched it tighter and tried pulling it back but his grip was strong. I knew this intense game wouldn't have an end so I let the pillow go, but Brooklyn grabbed my arm and dragged me to the floor with him as well.
I landed on his stomach and hit my head against his ribs, I winced loudly. I've never felt someone's abdomen that hard. Immediately my hand reached for his ribs, to make sure he was alright, simultaneously his hands gently held my head.
"Are you okay? I'm so sorry." He apologized over and over again, checking my head for injuries. "Really, I'm fine, it was a small hit." I reassured him.
He calmed down and smiled softly at me, I thought for a second that he looked down at my lips but I was probably imagining it. I realized how close we were, his body slightly leaning over mine and his hands in my hair, as my hand rested on his upper abs. I pulled away and sat upright, and he copied, rubbing the back or his neck awkwardly.
I heard a scoff come from the front-door, which had just opened, behind us. It was the dark, brooding roommate, Rex.
"I thought she was just a roommate, not some girl for you to fuck around with." he said as he kicked off his shoes, and stomped upstairs. I tried to mask my frown, someone was feeling sassy today.
Another scoff came from the front door and this time it was the other roommate, who jumped into Rex's arms when he first saw me, like I was a murderer or something, Holden.
"Dude, how come you always steal the girls." he explained while holding two cups of boba, one for him and another that had my name on it.
Brooklyn rolled his eyes, "We were having a pillow fight, don't get your panties in a twist." he said as he helped me up and walked off into another room.
Holden looked at me, "Please tell me that you don't like boba, so I can have two for myself." he said, and I nodded, mentioning how much sugar was in it. He immediately cringed, and proceeded to down the cup.
I shook my head in disapproval, and he just shrugged. "Hey, I'll show you the movie theater if you hang out with me." he said sort of shyly. I agreed and went upstairs with him as he downed the other cup of boba.
I fell asleep a good 10 minutes into the movie, and was woken up to the sounds of delirious moaning. Horrified I looked to Holden, who was so immersed in the scene, his popcorn was stuffed in his mouth, un-chewed.
When I asked what movie this was, his replied were muffled by the food, so I grabbed his chin and moved his jaw up and down, forcing him to chew and swallow.
"365 Days." He answered and turned back to the boat-scene, I slapped my forehead and went back to sleep.
This was going to be more chaotic than I could've ever imagined.
