People think that you can't fall in love by accident. I believed that. But then, I guess I fell in love. Not on purpose. I actually hated the guy to begin with. So, I'll go back to the start and explain...
My name is Joanna Olivia Sanders. Well, at least it is now. I am a spy. Yup, I've got the fake name and everything. To my family, I am Emma Lynn Wadders. They believe I am a photographer, which is partly true. It is my cover-up job, and I'm not too bad at it.
I grew up in a two-story house with my mum, brother, sister, cat and dog. My mum is a math teacher at the college and my dad left the picture when I was four. Alona, my sister, she's my twin. But people usually thought Eli and I were twins, despite him being nearly two years older than me. We all got along, even when Eli pissed me off.
Eli and Alona were top of their class smart, always cheerful and so very popular. Me? Well, I kinda faded into the background. Sure, I was smart, but I didn't catch on with the whole popular thing. I liked my small group of weird, and mostly queer group of friends.
So that the start. After I graduated, I moved to Alaska for college. I was going to major in being a earth science teacher, which would've been a pretty good job. My friend Lindsay Cohlson was my roommate. It was nice, but a year into college, it all changed.
~Seven years previously~
"Hey Lins, going to the store! Need anything?" I asked my friend, who was in the other room.
"Yeah, get me a bæ!" She replied.
"Nu uh! I ain't gonna get you shit again!" I walked out the door, ignoring the pleading from Lindsay. As I walked up to my bike, I saw a cute guy with short curly hair. He seemed to be waiting for me...
"You Emma Wadders?" He asked with a bored and unimpressed tone. Whoop, not so cute anymore.
"Depends on who's asking." I sassed back, hand on my hip.
"It's confidential. Come with me."
I scoffed. Riiiiiggghhht... So I put on my sweetest smile and batted my lashes. "Oh, but I was just about to go to the store... Surely it can wait until I get back." I said innocently.
His jaw dropped, obviously flustered. "Uh, yeah- I mean, sure of course..." He replied, blushing. I flashed him a shy smile, then I broke his nose.
