The blond noticed the ravens patterns long ago. But didn't dare utter a word.

"You good you seemed to loose you hyper mood screaming lyrics to depressed" Luke said glancing back from the rode to the boy.

"U-uh yeah just got lost in througt" nick said, quickly finding a excuse.

He really never talked about his past - but Luke could even tell it was bad by how certin things push him off the eage.

Mentioning his own body or - how something on nick looks hot or cute meaning it out of love, nick will kinda quiet down and become a polar opposite ball.

From overzealous and excited about everything - with the meteoric gold sparkle in his eyes to dark and emotionless, as fast as one could snap.

Luke knew he was lying, just didn't push it, "well whatever it is" the blonde started and looked at the other male, "if I was there I'd protect you from? There isn't anything in this world I wouldn't"

Nick looked down a fiddled with his figures - picking the skin a habit he has for years one Luke  desperately tries to break.

"Hey what have I told you about picking you're skin." Luke said, in a level of concern.

"Dont.. it hurts me and inturn hurts you" nick muttered.

He didn't ever understand  what Luke ment by that - it's like like it physically hurt him... it hurt Luke inside a place where nick simply couldn't see, Luke always was soft for the raven, always  felling sympathy pains for his bestfriend.

Lukes hand crept up the males thigh and up to his hands sofly graphing one of his hands, "that's right so why are we picking you're pretty skin?"

"It's a habit... I've picked up over the years" nick muttered  turning to fiddle with Luke's hand, figures and rings instead.

Luke smiled, a soften glaze for a moment, he loved hoe cute his best friend can be.. but something in him knew something was wrong. Direly wrong.

Luke knew its something from the males past. Something he couldn't possibly simply fixed, alike nobody could fixed his lightly screwed up stew of a past aswell.

But something you couldn't compare to Nicks, his past from eleven, involved his parents hateing him having teddy's even hoodies of the younger laying around, because the younger left them accidentally, and so even the most begging the things he grew attached to having if wornt gone in a reasonable time was sent to the dump the next trash day.

Reason  being 'when you get a girlfriend she won't like you having you're bestfriends garbage'

His parents hated nick. Never understood why. Never bothered to ask why... because honstly it probably had something to do with how Masculine the younger  looked compared to himself.

Age eleven when he finally had a friend he adored to hang with. Was when his parents became odd. And commanding of how he acts.

"Family issues huh?" Luke hummed, inside he was bubbling.

He's seen nicks - not so nice art project apon his thighs, some with even fresh lines, though nick didn't know the video call wasn't pointed  only up at his face.

The sudden hang up after his parents call his name.. all strange behaviors indeed.

"I sappose so. But ones of a past" nick muttered. "I don't know why it bothers me still"

A/n: nick because what you're parents have done. Are terrible to do to a young kid, it sets unreasonable expectations. And comparing you to you're bestfriend? Is a series of fucked things.

Hey, if anyone has gone through this stuff know you're not alone.
