After that day we spent the following days almost inseparable, we laughed so much our stomachs hurt, we talked until our voices were barely whispers, we shared secrets that not even our pillows know.

But now that you are gone, who would I tell it all to?

On whose shoulder can I cry when all I want is your hug and your hand gently playing with my hair

I remember that day I was telling you how my mother used to only let me have ice cream if I gave her a hug, so you ran to the shop next to us and got me a caramel ice-cream that reminded me of your skin while laughing and asking if I'd give you a hug. I don't think my heart had ever beaten so fast in my life, I ran into your arms with a smile so big that it almost reached my ears.

That same day you got me a necklace, it was a cheap silver one, but I promise you, I'll hold on to it and cherish it more than any diamond.

We were so happy , I could almost see light shining from our smiles.
