"Knock, knock," a male voice said while still entering. I was packing my overnight bag in my room. Tonight I will be visiting home and my brother, who was still recuperating from his heart operation.
"Well, come on in," I said in a sarcastic tone as I glanced behind my shoulder while folding my sleeping shirt. It was Zhang Hao, looking a little grim but he still wore a soft smile for me. I knew he was also feeling the pressure these last couple of days.
"Hey, Hao. What do you need?" I said without merit while I continued with my toiletries.
"I heard you are going to see Chanbin tonight," Hao sat down on my bed, nearly hitting his head on the bar. "I was wondering if you would mind if I joined you?" He said that last part with a slightly nervous pitch to his voice as if he was sure I was going to say no. Chanbin and Hao had gotten really close during the competition, and somehow he had adopted Chanbin's 'older' brother vibe towards me because of him.
Chanbin had asked me how Hao was doing this morning when we had texted, so I guess that feeling was mutual.
"Mmh, sure... I guess," I said. "But we are going to my elderly home." It was hella personal to see someone's home, and Hao and I had been close but not that close. I considered him an alley and a confidant, somebody I turned to for advice, but I didn't consider him a friend just yet.
"What are you guys talking about?" the culprit of my waking hours and sleeping as well, walked in with a curious smile on his handsome face. There was something else there when he looked at me.
Good God, if Yujin was going to act jealous around Hao as well, I was going to lose my shit!
I should never have kissed him during that truth-or-dare night. Feelings had emerged—weird, confusing feelings.
Yujin had been worse than ever to Ricky the days after the truth or dare night, and he was the most possessive son of bitch I had ever seen.
"Hao and I are going to see Chanbin tonight," I sighed. "So... I'm not staying over."
There, that's that.
I saw something slither through his gaze as he walked into the room. My breath hitched, and my stomach started acting weird. I could not explain all of these things, but I guess they would describe it as... feelings.
I had feelings.
This was bad news!
With a pang of realization, I noticed I was feeling sad about not seeing him tonight, or being in his bed. Snap out of it, Choonhae!
"I'm going with you," Yujin said while shooting a dark look at Hao as if this was all his doing. My brother hated Yujin. Ever since their last interaction in the studio, when Chanbin had told him who I really was, my twin brother despised him. Chanbin didn't know how much our relationship had changed these last few weeks. "I won't sleep without you anyway."
