Meet The Driller (TF2 OC)

Chapter three: Making friends

A bell rang and the sound of a man named Engineer could be heard, "FELLAS IT'S DINNER TIME!", " Well that's dinner, c'mon Driller were gonna eat chicken soup tonight." Driller then followed scout to a big table were most of the mercenaries were already at, Driller and scout sat down at the table and Engineer served them their food. they all got their food, thanked Engineer and started eating.

After they were all done eating, one of the men spy introduced Driller to walked up to Driller and asked. " Hello zere, may I borrov you for somezing." Driller remembered his name, it was Medic. " Yea, you may." Driller responded. " Kreat, follov me." Medic said with his German accent. Driller followed the Medic into a room that had many doves and medical stuff, medic pointed at a chair and said, "sit zere." Driller sat down on some sort of chair that reminded her of a dental chair. "Ok, now I will need to cut you open."

Drillers faced turned from content to a very confused face, "wait, what for?" Driller asked, " so I could put your heart on zis little device." Medic said while holding some strange device. " Again, what for?" Driller asked again. " Vell, in battle I could do somezing called an Uber charge, ven I do zee Uber charge I make me and ally invincible for 8 seconds. And ven I put your heart on ziz device I vill put it back vere your heart is supposed to be and I vill be able you give you an Uber charge." Driller didn't seem to worried anymore, "oh,ok, well thank you for explaining it." Driller said.

Medic cut open Driller and it did hurt a little but Driller tried to make it seem like it didn't, Medic took Driller's heart out and put it on the device. It felt weird not having a heart but it was soon put back where it was supposed to be. Drillers chest glowed red and Driller was concerned at first but she still felt good, nothing had changed so she didn't worry too much.

" Ok, vee are all done, zank you for your time." Medic said, " Thank you for uhh, putting my heart on some strange device so I could get an Uber charge." Driller said. " Well, good night Medic."
" Good night little fraulein." Medic and Driller said to each other.

Driller walked to her room, and when she was in there she put down the bag full of her weapons and lied down in her bed. Driller thought it would be nice to stay at the red base, most of the mercenaries were nice and there were many other mercs she could talk to. Driller didn't really like the idea of killing an entire enemy team, it was a cruel thing to do, Driller thought about testing her weapons tomorrow so she would know what to do when she actually was fighting blu team.

Driller closed her eyes and thought about many different things, she had a rich inner life and would daydream a lot. Thinking of anything would get her to sleep, Driller finally stopped thinking and went to sleep.

The next day Driller woke up and got ready to talk to more people, and test put her weapons. Driller walked out of her room and saw pyro playing rock, paper, scissors with scout. " Hey scout, hi pyro Driller greeted them both. "Hey kid what's up." Scout said, pyro talked to but it sounded like, "Hudda Hudaa Hudda Hudda." Driller didn't really know what he said but she knew he only said good things. " I'ma go test out my weapons outside wanna come with?" Driller asked, "sure why not." Scout said. Pyro talked too and Driller guessed that he said yes, all three walked outside, Driller pulled out her Drill and pushed an on button.

Then the Drill started to make a lot of noise, it was so powerful that it started to move you forward if you didn't hold on to it tight. Driller pointed the tip of the Drill to the floor and it started making its way underground like it was nothing, Driller also went underground with the drill and she was 6 feet under in just a few seconds. " Jeez, that's a strong drill ya got there." Scout said. "Yea, it could be used for sneaking up on foes and setting up pit traps." Driller said.

Driller already had some ideas on what to do when faced with an enemy on the battlefield, with the weapons she had the possibilities were endless. Driller was relieved that she had such good weapons to fight foes with, Driller knew she could never fight without the weapons she had, she was physically weak. " Hey, how 'bout we all go inside so we could eat breakfast and do something fun, all three of us. And maybe I could introduce the other guys to ya." Scout said. Driller climbed out of the hole and said, " sure, why not."

Driller was starting to get used to her new life as a red mercenary, and she was glad she made new friends. All three of the mercenaries walked back inside the base to get fruit to eat, pyro didn't show his face when he ate, he just put his food and his arm in his uniform so he could put it in his mouth without anyone seeing. Scout drank from a can that said Bonk, and Driller drank apple juice.

Then a sound came from the alarm-o-tron, a loud noise and a womans voice saying the blu team is invading the red base. "Dang it, get ready Driller we're gonna be fighting the blu team, don't worry though me and pyro got your back since your still a newbie and all."scout said, Pyro seemed to agree, Scout, Pyro and Driller ran to this place were all the other mercenaries were and everyone took out their weapons.

Driller took out her Drill and made sure her other weapons were easy to grab, scout then said, "this is gonna be an exciting fight." Drillers adrenaline started to release and she held on tight to her weapon. The voice could be heard again, mission starts in 3..2..1.
