You don't want to wake her up just to say goodbye because you might disturbing her sleeping so you decided to cooked her breakfast before you left. It's Sunday so there not much to do. You invited your best friend Soo ah out to eat at your favorite Coffee shop and treat her for not making to come to her house last night. It feels weird that while you are waiting for Soo ah to come you can't get Yeon koung out of your mind. Her face, her smiles and even the way she walks and talks. It keeps flashing back in your mind!
"This is so weird". You murmured shaking and holding your head with both hands resting on the table.
"So weird indeed". You heard Soo ah's voice from behind. She pulls a chair and sit in front of you and rolled her eyes at you. "It's so weird you didn't come. Do you know how hungry I was last night? I went to bed hungry waiting for you". She pouted so you smiled at her and squish her cheeks.

"Where were you last night?" Soo ah asked with intense look. So you explained and told everything to her because she is your best friend. Well, except having a weird feeling towards Yeon koung. "It's just so weird she only has one room in her house. It means she is alone in life. doesn't she have a family?" Soo ah asked looking at you and you just shrugged your shoulders. "What's her name again?"
"Hmm, it's Y-Yeon koung?"
"Yeon koung. ahm. why does her name sounds familiar". Soo ah murmured so you just stares at her confusedly and suddenly the server guy serves your orders. You're both excited for the carrot cake! "Wait, what is this?". Soo ah asked as she removing a sticker note from her cup with Thank you written on it. "Why are they Thanking us?" Soo ah asked again with a confused look and then you both turn and face over the counter.
"I think they're thanking us for dining with them". I replied then I smiled and nod to the guy in the counter who serves our orders.
"Anyways, Have you been saving money? when are you coming with me to jeju island?".
"I still got rent to pay. And I'm running out of money". You pouted and she just sighed. "I'm still saving up money for my college. I'll promise, we'll go there together once I get through this financial crises".You said so she won't be sad.
"Don't worry, I will look for another job so we can save up immediately. It's just I wanna know why my real father abandoned us for 28 years! I never even see his face. what might he looks like now". Soo ah said in a slow voice and you can see her teary eyes. You hold her hand and smiled at her so she knows you always got her back.
Kim Yeon koung's POV:
I woke up because of Jackson's barking noise. I got out of bed. Rub my eyes and checks the time. It's already 8 am in the morning. I went to the kitchen to feed jackson and I noticed the prepared food on the table. That tiny kimchi made me breakfast. Pancakes, bacon and eggs. I just smiled a little while taking a bite of one of fluffy pancakes she made. She really is a good cook! I did a little work out today. Took Jackson for a little walk in the park and then going to my coffee shop for a surprise visit. I haven't visited there in 3 months. I love this place because it's small, away from the cities and not crowded. I can go for a walk without anyone knowing me as long as I wears hoodies and cap. I entered in the exit door and sees Hak kun making iced coffee in our little kitchen.
"What are you making?" I asked from behind so he got startled clutching his chest and turn around to me. "Surprise?" I laughs and taps his shoulder as he takes a deep breath of relief to see it was me.
"Yeon koung, you startled me". He said and continues with what he was doing. "Do you want hot coffee?" He asked.
"No, thanks."I replied and went over the counter to check if there are many costumers. In my surprised I bent over and quickly goes back to the kitchen because I saw Tiny kimchi dining with a friend. Glad I saw her first because I'm sure she can see me easily because I'm tall. "Hak Kun, what was the order of the two women near the window?" I asked Hak Kun preparing orders.
"They ordered these. Two iced coffee and two carrot cakes. Why?"
"N-Nothing. I'll take care of it". I said then get the tray of orders and holding it while walking bent forward over the counter again. I took a sticker note and then wrote it with "Thank you". I pressed the buzzer to let one of our staffs to serves the orders. He came up to me and looks at me confusedly when he reads the note. "It's a Thank you note for dining with us". I said widening my eyes and he just smiled and shrug his shoulders. "Give this cup to-- uh never mind. Just go now". I said awkwardly. it's up to him who he gives the cup to because they might think that I'm flirting with a customer. That's so unprofessional.
"Why don't you have a cup of coffee while staring at one of those girls?" Hak Kun said handing me a cup of coffee. I just rolled my eyes at him and took a sip of my coffee. "Do you want me to ask for their phone numbers? I can do that for you". He chuckled.
"Shut up. I don't like any of them". I replied and went back to the kitchen to end the conversation but he follows me there.
"Come on,dude. You've been flirting with multiple girls for 6 years since you broken up with your last serious relationship. You are 35 years old now and alone in life, it's time for you to get into serious relationship again. Do you really want to be busy all your life? You already have a career with a lot of money. What you lack is someone who will love you". Hak Kun said and smiled at me.
"Thanks for the advice but I am used to being alone now. My career will always be my priority and every girls that I've dated doesn't understand that. They're always begging for my time and attention. Even worse they're just dating me because I'm famous".
"Maybe you should date a girl who don't know you". He jokingly replied then I suddenly remembered something that made me laugh.
"Maybe you're right". I said and tap his shoulder. I got a text message from my personal assistant Mi kyong telling me that I have to go back to my condo tonight to prepare for my new endorsement signing contract tomorrow. "I need to go home now because I have something else to do. Thanks for the coffee". I said while adjusting my hoodie and cap again then putting back my mask on.
"You should visit here more often".
"I will. when I'm not busy".
"But you're always busy". Hak kun said and I just hurriedly left because we will walk further. I should have brought my car instead! I said regreatly in the back of my head while walking and carrying jackson both of my hands.
"Y-Yeon koung? Is that you?" I heard someone said from behind as I passed the parking space. I turn around and it was Tiny kimchi with her friend. Oh, gosh. I just hope her friend doesn't know me. "Is that your dog you were talking about last night?" She said with a smile and rubs Jackson's head. Dang, I am too stunned to speak. "It's so cute! What it's name?" She asked.
"H-His name is Jackson". I replied while still carrying Jackson both of my hands.
"Daaammnn. You are so tall. Are you an athlete?" Tiny kimchi's friend asked me as she looking at me with a surprise look. It's really impossible not to recognize me because of my height. "Wait, you look familiar". She added.
"Kimchi, We need to leave now because I'm in a hurry". I said quickly and then hurriedly walks away.
"Okay. You take care, Yeon koung". She shouted waving her hand and I waved back. It's kind of weird because I got this excitement feeling of hearing her voice again and my heart literally skips a beat when she is around. This is freakin weird!
