Thank you to Relza/Ringpop for helping out with this story! :)
Puffs POV:
After going out to the watching dome, I walked back into the hosts room. Ringpops on the computer and Kittygirl is ranting. Kittygirl is talking about some... ex? Ringpop doesn't seem to be immersed in this conversation whatsoever. I sigh and slam my backpack on the floor. "Oh good! Puff! You're here!" Ringpop yelled at me. I was too tired to say anything back. Watching the contestants try and fail to do the most recent challenge was... draining to say the least. All I want to do is flop down on the bean bag with a blanket and drift off to sleep. I place myself in a bean bag next to Kittygirl, and listen in to her conversation. I wrap a blanket around myself and put a pillow under my head. "See, I love him! But we needed to split. I was off to be a k-pop star. But I guess Kimmy had other plans. Why did she have to create that rift between us!?"
Narrative POV:
Ringpop snapped their head back at Kittygirl. Ringpop stares at Kittygirl for a solid 10 seconds. "Come here." Ringpop demands. Kittygirl looks at Puff, then looks back at Ringpop with a concerned face. "Now." Kittygirl was taken back by the unusual tone of voice and sternness. she had never been this serious before, and it concerned Kittygirl. Kitty fumbled to stand up, so she just got on fours and crawled over. She stood up on her knees and smiled at Ringpop. Ringpop sighed and smiled. "What's up?" Kitty inquired. "Look at this right here. The contestants have made a discovery. Remember that deep sea diving challenge? They discovered a ruin. These ruins aren't just average ruins. I picked up a weird signal coming from them. I haven't seen something like this in my.. 2 weeks of this computer work." Ringpop points at the computer showing the signal. Kittygirl looks at the screen. "Should we tell Puff?" Kitty asks. "Of course we will! We just need to find the right time. They've been exhausted lately. It'll be a pleasant surprise for her when we let her know." Ringpop answers. Kittygirl starts to smile. But Kittygirl knew something was off with Ringpop.
Kittygirls POV:
There's definitely something going on with Ringpop. They've never been this exhausted. I don't know how to help.
Narrative POV:
Kittygirl takes ringpops hand and guides them to their bed. Ringpop sits on their bed and stares off into space. "I'm scared, Kittygirl. I was overthinking again, and I don't know if we'll be safe." Kittygirl looks at Ringpop. She gently smiles. She pulls Puff and their bean bag over to Ringpops bed. Kitty puts a bean bag next to the bed as well. "We'll stay here, just so you can rest easy!" Kittygirl says with a happy look. Ringpop smiles and lays down.
Ringpop POV:
I can't rest until we know what that signal could mean. I'm scared it might be something that could hurt the other hosts. I love them both, I can't have them be hurt, especially if it's because I'm ignorant. I guess it was nice that KG wanted to stay with me to make sure I was okay but, still it just.. I don't know. Of course I’m not mad at her, it’s that I could be figuring out what the signal could be leading from and stop whatever the hell it is that's there from harming any one of us. But then again, I think it might be better if I sleep instead of being paranoid about this so I can have more energy in the morning to actually process what's going on.
Narrative POV:
Puff slowly opens their eyes. She looks over to see Kittygirls blanket on the bean bag next to her. They notice that she'd been moved to Ringpops bed. They look at the clock and see that its 10 A.M. Ringpop is at the computer typing frantically. His desk is cramped with energy drinks and potato chips. Puff looks over at them with a look of concern. Puff walks up to her. "Hey.. Is everything alright? I just woke up and I saw the state of the desk and I just thought that maybe something was wrong." Puff asked with a look of dismay. Ringpop snapped his head at Puff with a concerned look. "Hey uh, maybe you should go find Kittygirl? I haven't seen her in a bit." Ringpop says with a weak voice. Puff stared at her and walked away. Ringpop looked at their computer.
Kittygirls POV:
I had to go on a walk to clear my head. In case there is anything out there in those ruins, I'm sure it's nothing big... Right? It can't be. After all, it's just a weird signal. There's no way it's dangerous. How would it have gone undiscovered for this long? There's nothing out there. There can't be. It's okay. All of a sudden I'm snapping back into reality. I look over and see I've completely forgotten I was having a conversation with Crane. "Hellooo? You there? Earth to Kittygirl?" I look over at Crane. "Oh jeez, glad you didn't die. But why'd you zone out for so long? You don't zone out like that often." Crane asked me with a voice of concern, with an undertone of mockery. "Yeah yeah, I'm fine, it's just... Ringpop has been concerning me lately. They don't talk often, he's glued to his computer, and she's seemed really sporadic and crazed. It's freaking me out... I don't want them feeling bad." Crane looked at me getting how dire the situation felt to me. "I'm sure they're just focusing really hard on something." Crane said. "Yeah, that sounds about right." I replied.
Ringpops POV:I'm starting to think I'm starting to worry the other hosts. I haven't been myself lately because of stress, so I'll try chee ring up the next time I see them! I just hope Kittygirl is okay with everything going on. Puff being overworked, me being stuck to this god forsaken computer, I just hope everything is okay.
