Mikaela shakes Ethan. "E wake up we gotta go." As Ethan slowly wakes up he sits straight up on the bed. "Goodmorning, but where do we have to go exactly?" He asks.

"Your dad tried attacking Tara and Sam, they ran into a bodega and he killed a few people except for Tara and Sam." Mikaela tries to explain. "What do you mean? We never planned this, and what if it was Quinn?" Ethan says in denial, hoping his dad didn't do anything since anything can ruin the plan.

"Quinn was the one that told me, they're meeting up at the park so we gotta go." She says so Ethan got ready.

Ethan was dressed and Mikaela was ready aswell. Ethan opened the door slightly to see nobody in the hallway. "Okay we can go." And both of them walk towards the park.

"Hey guys, I heard what happened.. we're very sorry Sam and Tara." Ethan says, we all know he's not as sorry as he says he is.

"Hey Eth and Mik, it's alright.. it's not like you could do anything about it." Sam weakly smiles and Ethan smiles back nodding.

As Ethan sits down next to Tara and Mikaela drops herself next to Anika.

"The way I see it, someone is out to make a sequel.. to the requel." Mindy shares with her idea.

Anika is confused, and so is Mikaela. "Uhm, what's a requel?" Anika asks Mindy. "You're beautiful, sweetie. Lets hold questions to the end." She replies and Anika expresses a face with a fake smile on it.

"Stab 1 took place in Woodsboro. Stab 2 took place in college.." Sam states. "So we think that the killer is trying to copy the movies?" Tara asks being very confused. Mindy answers hee question saying, "that is one possibility."

"Heroes now in college: check."
"Suspicious new characters brought in to round out the suspect list and/or bodycount: check, check, check and check." Mindy says pointing at Ethan, Quinn, Anika and Mikaela.

"I don't like this." Ethan says with a gross expression on his face.

"But it can't just be about Stab 2." Mindy says but not everybody understands. "Why not?" Mikaela asks confused. "It would make sense if this were just a sequel. But we're not in a sequel, because nobody just makes sequels anymore!" Mindy says but everyone is looking at eachother in confusion.

"We're in a franchise!"

"And there are certain rules to a continuing franchise." Mindy says with a burst of excitement. "I had a feeling." Sam says with her head facing downwards.

"Rule one: everything is bigger than last time. Bigger budget, bigger cast, bigger bodycount. Longer chases, shoot-outs, beheadings." Mindy says in a hurry. "You gotta top what came before to keep people coming back."

"Beheadings?!" Chad is in shock. "Yes Chad, beheadings." His twin sister replies annoyed.

"Rule two: whatever happened last time, expect the opposite. Franchises only survive by subverting expectations. If the killers last time were whiny snowflake film nerds with letterboxed accounts instead of personalities, you can bet the opposite will be true here."

"And rule three: no one is safe. Legacy characters? Cannon fodder at this point. Usually brought back only to be killed off in some cheap bid for nostalgia. It's not looking too good for Gale and Kirby."
She said stretching her mouth in a nervous way.
