Pov Douma:
"Papa, can we go out and play?? We only go out when it's dark"
Inosuke pouted. This is the fifth time he's been asking this week. It's Tuesday.
*how do I explain a six year old child that we cannot go and play outside when the suns out? Right.
I don't.*

"Inosuke, my boy. You know how it is. The gods tell me not to go while the sun shines.. there is too much danger out in the sun.
You know, I'd love to spend time with you outside in the sun. But I cannot disobey the gods. Do you understand?"

The same excuse, over and over again.
This is starting to get tiring.

"B-but papa! I don't want to stay inside all the time! Every other kid is playing outside! Why can't I?"
Just like him.
*ahh.. I remember the times I used to say this kind of things. How sad how sad. Maybe I should..*

Looking at the child in his lap he said out loud:
"Hey Inosuke. How old are you now?"
The child pouted. "6! You're my Daddy! How dare you not remember king Inosuke's age!"
Inosuke got up from his lap and poised tall and proud. Not that he was that tall.
"Of course, of course." A small chuckle escaped his lips "six years already! Don't you think you're big enough to start training now?"

Inosuke's smile and proud visage Faded into one of confusion.
"Training? What do you mean papa?"
Now moving back to his fathers lap, Inosuke looked up in interest and amazement of the thought of finally doing something new. Other than going outside at midnight to play with random wild animals, Inosuke has been doing nothing else. It's starting to get boring and his father figure doesn't trust anyone else from taking Inosuke out in daylight.

"Hmm.. well. Don't you want to become big and strong Like your father?"
Upper two asks the child.
"Y-you mean I can do the things you do when you go into that room for HOURS?!" His voice getting louder and louder with each word he says. Excitement laced into his voice. It's been long since he's sounded so excited and happy. Poor kid.
"Yeah... THAT room. Yeah. Yeah totally. After I'm done with giving my followers prayers to the gods we'll go there together and train. You, go back to sleep so you have enough energy, you got that?"

Overwhelmed by joy and relief to finally do something other than stay in this cult, the little one jumped up immediately and hugged his father figure as strongly as a little boy can.
*he's not as weak as I made him out to be. That's great actually*
he hugged Inosuke back and pressed a small kiss on his nose.

"Go clean yourself up a bit and sleep. You need it."
"I will! Thank you so much, daddy! I love you so so much"
And with that the boy left to wash his face and feet. Leaving the demon behind, shocked.

It was the first time, Inosuke ever said that to him. Has he been holding him back too much? *am I a bad father? Hold on. Why am I even worrying about that?! I'm an upper moon for fucks sake! I only need him for my emotions!*

"Damn it."
He murmured lightly as he heard little feet tapping away.

The door opened.
"Lord Douma, your visitors have arrived"

His follower stared up at him. His eyes shone with adoration and love for his master. Most looked at him like that. He put on a smile and thanked his servant. "Let them come in."
"Y-yes lord Douma" cheeks reddening he quickly closed the door again.
Sighing into thin air he shook his head. He has other worries now.

Soon one by one people came in, begging for release. Wether it was a woman, crying to be freed by her abusive husband or family. Or a man, hoping for a woman or money. Sometimes even children, asking for a mother, father, anything.

Right now, in front of him, there kneels a child.
Hair as dark as the night. He's trembling.

"What brings you here, to me, young one?"
The Child's amber eyes looked up at him in terror.
"I want to leave. I-I can't stay there anymore."
The child was on the verge of crying.
What happened? Is he getting abused by his parents?
*oh, that should be easy.*

"Don't you worry my child. The gods have spoken. I promise you, once the time is right. You will meet someone who will get you out of your miserable situation.
If you want to get out earlier, come and join me in my paradise.
So many of your dreams are fulfilled here. But don't be too greedy! Otherwise, the gods will no longer help."
These words left his mouth automatically. Years of practice. What can one say?

The child now looks up to him. Still scared.
"A-are you sure?"
"Are you judging me?"
Silence. And a shake of the kids head.
He gets up and thanks the demon and leaves.
This was strange. *what. They never talk to me like that. And never so short. Hm*
Not thinking any further, he continued his night and kept listening to other peoples complains.

Meanwhile Inosuke was fast asleep in the room next to his fathers.
Oh this was going to be a long night.
He still needed to clean 'that room' removing all the bones and blood.

*damn it.*
