Trip Away (Part 2)

The two laughed and got themselves ready for dinner.

"Fuck you aren't actually gonna make me sit there with them are you? Sam I don't think I'll ever be able to even look at that old man again he- he knows you've been.."

Sam kissed his head,

"In you? Yeah pretty sure everyone knew that before we got caught."

"Well I guess it's just him that knows right?"

The other man nodded and walked with him to Nate and Elena's house.

Nate watched them as they walked in and Rafe started to get self conscious.

"So."

Nate started,

"Have fun?"

Sam looked his brother up and down,

"What do you mean by that?"

"Nothing specific just, Sully seems to think so."

Rafe started to choke, blushing and hiding his face in his hands,

"Fuck-"

He mumbled.

"We were, until he came in."

Sam smirked, so confident.

"Hey Sam!"

"Cassie! You did awesome out there earlier!"

They did their little secret handshake that always made Nate smile.

"Dinners ready, you three go sit at the table."

Rafe watched his feet while they walked, Sam held his hand and squeezed it tightly.

Elena quickly hugged the two men,

"Sam! Rafe! Sorry I didn't see you earlier I was working, so great to see you again!"

Sully had told Elena too, but unlike Nate she wasn't awkward and was able to shrug it off.

"Nate's made tacos they're the best!"

"Dads tacos are my fucking favourite,"

Cassie said excitedly, her mother shot her a look.

"Just because Sam is here doesn't mean you can swear."

Sam grabbed a beer from the fridge,

"Actually yes, it does, I gave her permission!"

Rafe just had a water, he didn't like beer.

They all eventually sat down and everyone but Cassie had the same thing on their mind.

"Sooo."

Sully said awkwardly.

"Cassie tell them about surfing."

"Aw man! So uncle Rafe was so fucking wet, he kept falling in and messing up his perfect hair!"

Rafe couldn't help but giggle,

"In my defence you pushed me in!"

When no one seemed to join in, Rafe lost his confidence again.

"Because it was funny! Sam totally laughed at you too it wasn't just me."

Rafe squeezed Sam's thigh,

"That's because he's horrible,"

Sam smirked, taking this one chance he had,

"You didn't think that half an hour ago~"

Nate tried to hide his laugh, earning a slap to the leg from Elena. Rafes face went red and Cassie looked around, a little confused.

"What? I'm just laughing at my brothers jokes!"

"And making poor Rafe uncomfortable!"

Sam chuckled and kissed Rafes cheek,

"He's not uncomfortable, probably just thinking about Sully's face when he came in."

Rafe giggled a little bit and covered his own face, the image of a shocked Sully popped into his mind.

"What are you talking about?"

Cassie felt left out of this inside joke, Sam looked over to her.

"When two people love each other very much-"

"Woah woah heard it all before I-"

Nate looked to his daughter,

"What? Sam told me!"

Sam have a smile to Nate, patting Cassie's back.

"She was curious! Just being a good uncle."

Nate sighed but soon laughed a little.

"So what was his face like?"

Cassie was still confused but just listened. Sam recreated the face and his brother laughed.

"Oh he totally walked in on you two when you were-"

No one responded and she gasped.

"You two were?!-"

Sam reluctantly nodded.

"But it was funny I swear-"

Rafe tugged Sam's shirt shyly and whispered to him.

"Can we please stop talking about my sex life at your families table?"

Sam kissed Rafe gently,

"Of course baby."

Elena smiled, she was really glad to see Sam in a happy relationship, she'd helped him on a couple dating apps but it had never worked out.

The rest of the dinner was silent, Rafe feeling awkward.

"I need to um, go to the bathroom if that's okay?"

He asked, standing and walking to the bathroom, where he climbed out the window and ran back to their hut.

About half an hour later, Sam was in their doorway.

"Why'd you run away?"

Rafe sighed,

"Got embarrassed, all those people now know how only minutes before dinner, you were fucking me!"

Sam gave him some kisses,

"Well now we have a sign we can put on the door, wanna get back where we left off?"

Rafe slowly nodded and they got back into bed.
