The next day, Y/N woke up with a start. She had slept in and was running late for work. As she rushed out of her apartment, she saw a small envelope tucked under her door. She picked it up and saw that it was addressed to her.
Y/N opened the envelope and saw a note inside. It read:"Meet me at Baker Street at 7 pm. - Sherlock"
Y/N felt a mix of excitement and nerves. She had been hoping to see Sherlock again, but she didn't know what to expect from their meeting.
As the day went on, Y/N couldn't focus on her work. She kept thinking about her meeting with Sherlock. Twesbury called in to check on Y/N and to express his feelings about Enola's recent behavior. Enola hasn't been speaking to him because she believed those feelings were becoming a distraction; affecting her investigations. She decided she needed to spend less time with him. Y/N tried to comfort him but he just needed someone to listen to him so Y/N did what was best in the moment. He hung up a little while later.
Y/N checked the clock it was around 6 pm. Y/N began to get ready wearing a white dress embroidered with brown and white lace. She put on a matching pair of gloves and shoes and began her walk to Sherlock's flat. Y/N wondered what Sherlock wanted to talk to her about and if he had any new information about the pub incident. Finally, 7 pm arrived, and Y/N was at Baker Street. When she arrived at the stairs, she saw Sherlock waiting for her outside his flat. He was wearing his usual dark coat and scarf, and he looked as handsome as ever.
"Good evening, Y/N," Sherlock said, greeting her with a small smile.
"Good evening, Sherlock," Y/N replied, trying to keep her cool.
Sherlock led Y/N into his flat, and they sat down on the sofa.
"I wanted to talk to you about the pub incident," Sherlock said, getting straight to the point. Y/N nodded, eager to hear what he had to say.
"I did some digging, the one who threatened you at the pub the man's name is Maxwell Langley, and he was some actor who was hired by someone," Sherlock explained. "I don't know who yet, but I'm working on it." Though I'm still working on it I believe a possible suspect might be Lord Edward Alexander Somerset. Y/N felt a wave of relief wash over her. She was glad that Sherlock was on the case."Thank you, Sherlock," Y/N said, feeling grateful.
Sherlock turned to look at her, and their eyes met. Y/N felt a jolt of electricity run through her body. She realized then that she had feelings for Sherlock, and she didn't know how to deal with them.
"Y/N, I have to warn you," Sherlock said, his tone serious. "You might still be in danger. Whoever hired that man might come after you again." Y/N felt a shiver run down her spine. She knew that Sherlock was right. She had to be careful. "I will," Y/N promised. "Thank you for warning me, Sherlock." Sherlock nodded, and they sat in silence for a few moments.
"Y/N, there's something else I wanted to talk to you about," Sherlock said, breaking the silence. Y/N looked at him, curious."I know we've only known each other for a short time, but I feel like we have a connection," Sherlock said, his voice softening. "And I want to explore that connection further if you're interested." Y/N's heart skipped a beat. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Sherlock was asking her out. "I am," Y/N said, smiling at him. Sherlock smiled back, and Y/N felt like she was on top of the world. She couldn't wait to see where their connection would take them.
