The chapter title is based on my favorite song from the 1970s, "Diary", by Bread, taking place after the events of Epic Mickey but Ortensia is dead.

Years have passed since Oswald saved Wasteland, he had become a hero, an icon, and a legend, but he never forgot the woman that had sacrificed her life to save him and the world that he loved.

One day, when Oswald was looking through Ortensia's old cabinet, he found a small leather-bound diary, its cover weathered with time. Intrigued, he opened the diary and began reading the words that were written inside. To his surprise, the diary contained memories of their life together, tales of their adventures, and poems about their love.

As he read through the entries, he could feel his heart swelling with joy and pain, for the words in the diary were a glimpse into the heart and soul of Ortensia. In every line, every word, and every verse, he could sense the love that she had for him, the happiness that he had given her, and the pain that she felt when she had to leave him behind.

One particular entry caught his attention, it was titled "Oswald, My Love." He began reading it out loud, his voice filling the room with a tender and nostalgic tone.

"Oswald, my love, you're the one that makes my heart sing, you're the one that makes me whole. From the moment that I met you, I knew that you were special, that you were different, that you were the one that would change my life forever.

You're the one that makes me laugh, that makes me dream, that makes me happy. You're the one that makes me feel alive when everything else seems gray and dull. I love the way you look with your long ears and floppy tail, the way your eyes sparkle when you talk about your adventures, and the way you hold my hand when we walk under the moonlight.

When I'm with you, I feel like I'm the luckiest cat in the world. You make me feel like I belong and that I have a purpose. You make me want to be a better cat, to be better every day, just so I can be by your side and share our world together.

I know that there are times when we have to be apart, but know that you're always in my heart. And even when my time comes to an end, know that my love for you will never fade. I will always be with you, watching over you, guiding you, and loving you."

As Oswald finished reading the entry, tears began to stream down his face, feeling the love and tenderness that Ortensia had for him in every word. He closed the diary, clutching it to his chest, feeling grateful for the love that he had shared with Ortensia.

"Ortensia, my love, I miss you so much, but I know that you're always with me, and I will always love you," he said as he whispered the words into the emptiness of the room.

From that day forward, the diary became Oswald's most precious possession, a reminder of the love that he had once shared with his beloved Ortensia, and a tribute to the power of love, even in the most difficult of times. And even though the world had changed, and time had passed, Oswald knew that the love that he shared with Ortensia would always be there, a bright and tender memory, etched deep into his heart and soul.
