Olivia's pov: (Past 10 years back)
You had a speech, you're speechless.
Love slipped beyond your reaches.
As the sun rose above the sea at 6 in the morning, I took my daily jog around my apartment. With the sweetest melody of birds and the song of the ocean waves crashing the seashore, this was exactly what I'd have visualized as a perfect morning. Having had a sleepless night tossing and turning in bed, I had to take a break to get away to break my chain of thoughts about what happened yesterday.
I've known Christian for more than a decade but yet he never ceases to disappoint me or hurt me in the cruelest way possible. That shirt was the last memory I had of my mother, the one she fondly wore a few days before she passed away. And every single time Christian has to do something that shatters my heart.
But on the brighter side, I knew Christian inside out just as much as he knew me.
His strengths and his weaknesses.
And that was exactly what I wanted to destroy and break apart.
Getting back into my apartment, I took a quick shower as I got ready for my volunteering at the bookstore. I pulled on my white off shoulder top and my skinny jeans as I rushed for my breakfast. Having a few bites of my salad and my wrap I proceeded to drive to the bookstore.
It was the weekend and the bookstore was packed with readers and customers. As soon as I laid my eyes on Christian, I knew exactly what I had to do. Simply put forward, if I had to define him in a single word, it would be "Narcissist" with a capital N. All I had to do was bring him down and shatter his ego the way he broke my heart by ruining a special memory of mine.
I walked up to him slowly as he was billing the books in the cashier. As he turned towards me to assign me my work for today, I moved closer to him. I gently put my hand on his chest tracing his muscles and sensually trailing lower and lower as I said "Hey babe, I wish I could say I had the best night yesterday. Maybe you're just a little too small for me. You could've done better than just a minute in bed. I wish you could've made me finish last night. Nevertheless I should get going." And with that being said in front of a crowd earning him so many stares, I made my way out to the locker room to get my necessities for the day.
His look of surprise and anger was the best part of my week till now. If only I could capture that priceless look on his face I'd print it and frame it in my house to look at my successful completion of my mission.
As I opened my locker I found a present with a tiny little note that read:
Blondie,
This is me trying to make up to you. I know no amount of apologies would be enough to get you back your memories, but here's my small attempt at it. I hope you accept my sincere apologies.
Yours (not yours yet but soon to be yours),
Hyxen
And what was inside, truly astonished me. He went out of his way to get me a replica of my mother's shirt along with a diamond necklace with my initials engraved on it. Christian's parents were billionaires but a diamond necklace was too much to revoke his mistake.
A part of me felt really bad for destroying his image in front of everyone at the bookstore, but the rest of me felt the immense need to justify my thirst for revenge. I kept the shirt back in the locker and proceeded to apologize to him for my actions. But what I saw when I came out was something I wouldn't wish for my worst enemy.
Every inch of Christian covered in blood. He looked like he had just come back from war.
