Prologue

I was walking across the loud and fairly crowded quart room. I make my way to sit down next to my lawyer, but my father interrupts me.

"Pluto," he says in a kingly voice from his podium.

"Yes Father," I replied with disgust. I never really cared for him. The King of the gods, Sol the god of the Sun. Selfish and cruel. I wish he never declared me his daughter. If he didn't I wouldn't have been related to any of those other gods.

"You're late for your trial," He said. I'm only 5 minutes late, and I wouldn't be here if they hadn't figured out my planet's real size. He doesn't wait for a response, though why did I even expect him to? "Shall we begin?'' This was directed at the other eight planets sitting to the right of him, and the hundreds of stars to the left. I steal a quick glance at Earth, she is as beautiful as ever. I don't think she likes girls, but I still can't help but love her. She's wearing a dress that highlights her body, and I know she notices me looking at her stunning dress. Her dress looks like flowing water but also has all the continents on it.

"Pluto, you have been found lying about your true size. How do you plead?" Sole said with little simplicity for his own daughter.

As much as it hurts to say "Guilty your highness."

"Then by all the stars in heaven I renounce your title Pluto the ninth god," he declared. I try to hold back the tears but I can't help it. They just stream down my face.

"You are dismissed.'' Those words he said were probably the last words of his I'll ever hear again. I run out of the quart room balling the white streaks in my hair darkening as I feel a storm on Pluto.

Earth gets up to chase me but I hear her twin Venus say "Let her go, she needs some space." I bust through the closed doors and run as fast as I can back to my room. As I run through the doors I wonder what even a dwarf planet's place in the cosmos is.
