Arjun skin felt chill. He was standing right in front of him, with the same face that always smiled with love, those same soft hands that always caressed his face with care. But he still felt stranger to him.
"Bhaiya" Arav said, and Angad gently wiped away his tears.
Angad zoned out on the pleas. He was tired of being strong; he so had a burning desire to give in to the love Arav had in his eyes for his bhaiyu, but he knew this was going to backfire on HIM. Again. He knew he couldn't afford to be weak. The situation he had been trying to avoid for eight years was finally in front of him.
"Please Aru," Angad said, but atlast gave up as arav pleaded him with those seet and innocent eyes, that Angad could never dent too. Not until now.
"Just one question." Arav said, as he drew away from Angad's embrace.
"Bhaiyu phele ki tarah, sab ek saath kyun nahi reh sakte. Why can't we all live together?" Arav deliberately sounded in bitter voice, did nothing on Arjun. Angad hating every moment of this. More than Arjun, himself
"Was the problem so big that you had to leave all of us? Was it worth our love? Was it worth our trust or our relation bhaiyu? Let's get true! .Aap bhaiya ke bina rehna toh chodo; you can't even imagine leaving him in your Worst nightmares. THEN WHY?
Angad smiled painfully, knowing where it was going to go and he had to step in.
Tell me, bhaiyu, was it worth leaving us? I promise, Bhaiyu, I will never let anyone bother you. Not even bhaiya." Arav asked, tears sliding down his cheeks. He hugged arjun tightly. Arjun stood rooted. How will he ever answer such diligently put questions, when he has no answers.
Arjun tried to hug him back but stopped from doing so. As Angad's glaring eyes poked Arjun's eyes.
"Please Arav, don't make it harder for your bhaiya, And I'm not in a state of mind to say anything, Please stop crying bacha-" Arjun stopped his course as a dead glare again came through his way and Seperated Arav from his frame and stared with his cold eyes.
"Your bhaiya? Aapke kuch nahi hai." Arav asked and arjun looked at Angad. That un-forgiveable arrogance in his demeanour, the spiteful remarks, and the unacknowledged looks, he felt as if he were nothing but a sheck of dust, not even worth being shrugged off.
"Fine. but I want to know. Why you leave us? Were we not that important to you anymore?"Arav whimpered in agony. Arjun let out a deep sigh as he heard Arav's question.
Missed? His heart used to yearn every day just to see them once again. But fate was a more prominent player, and it loved to play with him.
"I-I dont have any answers, Arav." Arjun whispered, looking away.
"WHAT?' Arav wanted to be sure if what he heard was right.
"I dont know ARAV." Arjun closed his eyes, and tears pricked his eyes. What was he going to say? He himself had no answers for those questions.
"You-you-what is he saying, bhaiya? What do you not know, Bhaiyu? You don't know why you left us? It doesn't make any sense." Arav said, wiping a tear fell from his eyes.
The cold, lifeless face turned more pale when he saw Arav in tears, rummaging through his words.
"Listen Arav, you didn't do anything wrong, bacha! I failed as a big brother to you."
"No, you can never, Never. Who gave you the right to choose whether you failed or not.
"Just remember one thing, nothing will be ever same, Arav. so forget me." Arjun said, the facade of emotionless face going on.
