chapter 9

He dropped the so-called smile after a few more awkward seconds. I stared at Emil's hand which was still squeezing my shoulder to death. I saw Emil slightly smirk after a few seconds and Hugo's eyes focused on something behind me, but before I could turn around and check my vision got blocked by a blindfold 'WTF' I thought as someone started picking me up and dragging me somewhere. I twisted in their grip and tried to scream but they just put a hand over my mouth and ignored me. "They were right behind you sweetheart, right behind ya". a voice that I recognized to be Emil's whispered to me as if it was the most obvious thing ever.

They put me down and after a few murmurs, someone started tying my hands and feet together making me unable to walk at all. The hand got removed from my mouth and by instinct, I screamed, loudly, but that only ended up getting my mouth gagged by something.

After a few minutes, they started lifting me into something which I discovered to be the trunk of a car after hearing the engine turn on and I felt that we were moving.

I heard them talking but it was muffled and impossible to understand. I tried to tug on the rope on my hands but it just kept getting tighter until I couldn't bear trying anymore and laid there for a couple of seconds eyes becoming watery as my wrists kept throbbing. The voices died down after a while and it became a long, awkwardly silent car ride to who knows where. Sometimes I would try to scream or get out of the restraints but it all ended in more and more pain.

They took me out of the car after stopping the car and started dragging me somewhere again. they put me in a position where I was sitting in a chair and my ties were adjusted to be tied to the chair's legs and armrests making it even more impossible to move than before.

I felt a hand slowly untie the knot on the back of my head that was holding the blindfold in place. It dropped down and I squinted my eyes trying to adjust to the brightness of the room.

In front of me, I saw horror, it was HUNTER again. He looked very pale and skinny as if he had been dying here for the past weeks. I looked around a little more trying to find out where I was.

Oh no, I'm in Korbinian's room the same room I found him last time. I shook violently in the ties hoping they would loosen around my wrist and maybe let me be able to slip out slowly and escape. But like last time it just got tighter.

Hunter was laying also tied up but his eyes were closed, hopefully, he's just asleep I thought staring at him. My heart thumped in my chest.

The door opened loudly making a huge thud sound after hitting the wall behind it.

Hunter basically jumped awake, eyes shooting open and his head immediately facing the door. In the door frame stood Korbinian, Hugo, and Emil they looked between the two of us for a moment and then finally started moving which made me panic even more.

Hunter's head shot towards me as he gave me a look of terrified and worry. hopefully he was ok I thought looking back at the three kidnappers in front of us.

Hugo stepped forward towards me going behind me and then he took the gag out of my mouth. I breathed heavily, relieved that that thing wasn't in my mouth anymore.

Looking back at Hunter I saw the same shocked look on his face the look saying that he shouldn't be here and he felt bad for me, honestly, I am supposed to be the one feeling bad, he's probably been there for months now in the same position maybe even starving or being tortured while I did nothing about it.

"WHY THE HELL IS HE HERE!" Hunter yelled his voice slightly shaken. Everyone including me looks over at him. Emil walked over calmly raising his hand and slapping him hard in the face, Hunter winced at this and I clenched my teeth feeling really mad. Had this been happening this whole time?! Why didn't I try to save him more?! I'm so dumb.

"I was about to get to that!" Emil exclaimed with a hint of annoyance trailing in his voice. "Hugo you explain it I'm too annoyed right now" he exclaimed walking to the chair on the other side of the room and rolling it to us.

Hugo nodded slightly and started talking: "You and Hunter have to make a decision" he started "One of you is going to stay and the other one is going to be able to escape" he continued looking at our shocked faces with an amused smile.

"You will be in two different rooms and each of you will give an answer, if the answers are different we keep both of you if your answer is the same one of you will be staying." I stared at Hunter starting to tear up a bit but being able to hold it in.

I looked at myself and then at Hunter and he immediately knew what I meant, in answer he started shaking his head violently but I just kept on nodding.

"We will give you 5 minutes to discuss beginning ... NOW!" Emil said pridefully.

"Let them take me, Hunter, please!" I begged him but he protested "I can't let them kidnap you" "You've already been here so long they can't keep having you" As we kept giving each other silent stares a voice rang threw my ears "TIMES UP" Emil screamed almost making the silent Korbinian fall from shock.

"Instead of different rooms just say it at the same time" Hugo exclaimed calmly as we just stared at each other hoping we would choose each other.

"1.. 2..3...now!" He yelled as we both Said a name, each other's name I looked at him in horror and shock hoping that my ears heard wrong, hoping my ears heard wrong.

It finally clicked in my head as Emil and Casper started to have evil grins spreading across their faces. They all looked at each other with pleasant expressions. Casper stood up, walked over to me, and then took out a small Handkerchief with something on it. He placed it on my face covering my nose and mouth I passed out a few moments after.

Hunters POV:

I looked in shock at the unconscious body in front of me, limp in the chair with Capser standing behind him untying his hands and legs from the chair. He motioned Hugo to come to him and made him call a number u didn't know, I was very confused the whole time. Seeing them drag Micheal's limp body away triggered something in my head.

I thrashed around in my restraints screaming like a maniac, trying to get to Micheal, trying to save him. I saw Emil sitting relaxed on the chair plopping another lollipop in his mouth and smiling while looking towards Micheal's body and looking back at me, that smile looked so...twisted, messed up like it had nothing to it except a disgusting thrill. They all left the room soon after leaving me alone with my thoughts. 'I wonder why Korbinian wasn't there?'

I know I haven't updated in months but I've been really busy with tests, projects, and essays for school so I didn't really have that much time ill try to post one every 2-3 weeks if I can.

ops on Hugo (ik he was barely in the story yet but still).
